That is a skill in it self Sifu, to be aware of what is going on around you and not be distracted. 😂 I'm working on that particular skill.

Something about this, reminds me of seeing footage, shot by the Chinese government of Wu Tu-nan, I think his name is, in a documentary on the Venerable Abbot, Hai Teng.....and Wu Tunan appeared to sing to the children as he did his form. I have wondered if you ever talk about the "singing" or the "songs"....I have a book on Ba Gua and this is central to the book? Is there still a tradition of how music and the five notes play into Tai Chi Chuan or Xing Yi?

I don't believe "songs" in martial terms, mean music. Songs are like poems that were used to be recited by students so that they would memorize the greater principles of the art that were being taught. Recall that prior to the early 20th century, many martial artists were illiterate and seen as the barbarians of society by the aristocratic, for the most part. In most cases they could not read or write(there were certainly exceptions), so taolu (forms) and "songs" were the means with which the arts and their techniques and principles could be preserved and codified.

Nothing to do with music. The translation was wrong.

Just watched Discover Tajji. What a joke. So far, I like only Hai Yang and Adam Chan.
