There’s so much I want to share, but I feel like the most important message I want to convey is that you don’t owe us (patrons) anything and we aren’t expecting anything. There’s no need to “make up” anything. There’s no need to apologize. ALL WE WANT IS FOR YOU TO FEEL BETTER. We love you, Cinnamon. And it is absolutely true that your presence has saved lives. You helped save mine. And that is not something that should make you feel responsible, like for how we are doing if you’re not working on recordings or Lives. It’s meant to say, you were here for us, now let us be here for you. Take ALL the time you need! ALL OF IT. Take it, use it, own it. Guilt-free, burden-free time is our gift to you. Just no feeling guilty about it. Our gift doesn’t work if you feel guilty and responsible for taking time for yourself and your family. ❤ XOXO

As a therapist, I have to say thank you for being so open about your journey. We need more heroes like you to help teach the public that mental health illnesses are as common and normal as any other illness. As a diabetic I take 5 shots a day to stay healthy. I do this because my pancreas does not act properly. Mental health issues are caused by imbalances in the brain that causes it to not work properly. Medication helps to minimize symptoms while the person works on the environmental issues that got them to where they are in life. Thank you for being they light in a dark world. Thank you for saying you have had trauma. Thank you for letting people know they are not alone in the fight to keep it together. And thank you for your honesty. Donna

Hello Cinnamon .. You are responsible for teaching me to paint from scratch! I started watching your videos years ago. You taught me to choose paints, brushes and canvas prep. You convinced me that I could paint when I had no confidence at all! I painted mostly copies of your work and then my own pieces. It was thrilling and a wonderful gift that you gave me and many others I’m sure. I did this until 2018 when I lost my job through illness and am now disabled. I have lost my mojo and have only dabbled since. Maybe 2 paintings. I’m not clinically depressed but my reason to paint has vanished. So I stopped watching your videos as it just made me sad. Now after hearing your story I feel awful! Like I abandoned you. I’m so glad you are back with better health after what you described you have been through. You are a special person and a mentor. Lots of love to your amazing family. Thank goodness they are with you and live you so much. Suzie

You are very lucky that you had that to turn too. I have battled most of my life with depression, anxiety, among other things. In this area, Mental Health does not get the treatment, or the recognition that it needs to be given. I had to find ways to help myself. Painting was after many years a place I turned to. It really did help me. Then covid came into the world and I also lost my dad, and I turned away from everything. Day by day just became a habit. Wake up , got to work, come home , sleep and do it again. Barely showered and took care of myself. My wife doesn't understand any of it. I just folded more into myself. I am now finally talking with someone. I am getting back into wanting to paint. I have always loved to bake and cook. I have finally began that again as well. But most of this I had to do on my own. I had to find my own way to come out of the darkness and it is a constant fight. I am on medication, that sometimes I feel works and other times I am not sure. But watching this video, and it has been a long time since I have watched any videos, has given that although you act happy for everyone else, when you aren't happy for yourself it one of the most exhausting things a person can do. I have many different health problems which do not help my mental health. I am sorry that I have put all this on here, but once again you have inspired me once again. Thank you

Dear Cinnamon, I take lessons with your mother. She has been a great support for me through her lessons. I also volunteer at a pediatric hospital. My work at the hospital has taught me how grateful I am by being able to get up out of bed every morning. I have seen children battling cancer, heart problems, neurological problems, you name it. I also have read a great book which talks about soldiers who lost anything from arms and legs to half or all of the face. I have had serious episodes of high- high to low lows. Lessons with your mother, swimming 42 laps 3 times a week, and free of carbs, all has been great therapy for me. If I have managed to improve, so can you. I also must take medication. You will be fine.

So grateful your child raised the flag, and that you recognized it and had the courage and strength to pursue -- and the wisdom to realize you need to stop and smell the roses (metaphorically) so that you can go forward to paint and teach us all how to paint them!!! I have yet to participate in an Acrylic April, but you can bet your bottom dollar I will see you, join you in a glorious Acrylic August! I cannot adequately express my love, respect and admiration for you. And, yes, YOU perhaps without knowing and hopefully without burden (I pray) can find comfort in knowing that in just being you is such a wonderful gift...blessing!

I'm just another person but I offer my support. My therapy journey began 3 years ago, my crisis since birth. Thanks for giving me the bits of time to get away into the world of imagination and creation.

Cinnamon you are a remarkable person inside and out. I haven't been on KZitem for a good minute due to life getting in the way for my family. I'm so proud of you doing this and feel blessed that you are sharing. Everything that you said is so true. My kids are my one thing that keeps me going with their love. Thank God they not young but still need me periodically. You are so right about sleep once you loose it you can't make it up that's fir sure. I was blessed to take care of my Mom during here last few months of life. I didn't leave her side except for a couple of minutes at a time. Thank God for fast food for my family. I lost her in September. My first husband passed in October and I'm trying to help my son with that. In November my daughter's fiance's grandmother passed. Needless to say not in mood for Christmas. I lost my Dad on Christmas Eve of 18. This year was planned on being celebrated but Mom was diagnosed in June with cancer, had surgery in July on her 92 birthday the surgery went well. Two weeks later we found out it had gone to her lumbar spine. I'm totally going to get some help as soon as I can to catch a breath. Thank you so much for this video. May God bless you and your family. I'm looking forward to your next video. Take care of yourself as you are and be happy.❤️🙏✝️

Glad that you have stopped hiding from yourself and your family, and honoured that you've shared with us. Wishing the whole family strength and energy to heal together. You are so generous with your time here on KZitem; please do everything you need to be healthy, knowing we all feel grateful for your presence here, in whatever capacity.Sending virtual hugs, energy, and love.

I'm so thankful you are doing better! I've mentioned before how much your channel helped me. Mental health problems like depression and anxiety are so tough because they make you seek isolation which makes things worse because we start believing our untrue thoughts. PLEASE take whatever time you need to be back at the easel for us. We will be waiting. 💟

I’m glad you’re getting the help you need, and that you’re sharing your experience. We need to normalise looking after our mental health because at the end of the day, it’s our health. Thank you for everything you do ❤

I began my journey with you in 2018. I never realized my painting potential until I grabbed a brush one day with you. Your inspiring videos, and delightful interactions with your husband and the community make you an inspiration for aspiring painters. No one is immune to troubles in life. Thank you for sharing your experience - you are a true example and source of encouragement for all and especially those facing challenges..💞

I started to paint with you during lockdown and you were my self care through a very tough time in my life. Thank you for being so open and honest about what you are going through. Wishing you and everyone who can relate, lots of love and light. Self care is so important. Filling your own cup first is not selfish. it's a requirement 🤗❤

4:35 Darling first I want to say....YOUR COURAGEOUS BEAUTIFUL AND AN AMAZING WOMAN! Thank you for sharing this experience. I do want to point out though, you have NOTHING you need to apologize about bc essentially you're apologizing for just being you and for being alive! I see it's difficult but you sharing your situation helps set the best example to others that and it will help someone else draw the strength they need to seek help. Thank you...not for the painting lessons, but for being you!!!

Everyone, ditch the plastic water bottles, and storing foods in plastics. Plastics wreak havoc on the thyroid. Do well on your recovery Cinnamon. ❤
