Such a funny cutie :) The chukar partridge looks very similar to pigeon or dove. It reminds me of my tamed pigeons.

Poor bird. Should not be kept alone. Birds hate to be touched on their heads. Very unnatural environment. I really cannot understand why anybody should proudly present a bird held hostage...

Birds hate there heads being touched wtf? And if this bird was incapable of living on its own the it shouldn't be considered a pet but an animal thats just being kept.

hey i was windering how your chukar dosen't fly away from you. Mine are in a cage and they're scared to come to me but i would love to let them roam free like yours. Also, do i have to clip their wings?
@Ateeq98

Yeah he has them clipped. If you raise them from when they're young they'll love you. THat chukar in the video doesn't look tame. It looks very stressd out. Read this completely to see just how tame a chukar can be: Wow, that is not tame. My chukar never looks sso stessed out, he may be aggressive to stranger and toddlers (especially who keep sticking there hands into his cage) but he is so sweet for me. There a little messy, I tak mine outside every day in the backyard just so he can enjoy the grass and insects. He gets freaked out if I go far away from him because he's a very social bird and HATES to be alone. I can run and he will follow me everywhere I go, (we go jogging together away from strangers). But if I go to far he'll start calling really loudly for me. And boy, do they have energy, they like to dustbath. Get a cardboard box that's small in height and fill it with sand or something like that. My guy dusbaths twice a week or so. He's very used to company so if we put him in his cage (it's indoors) and move far away or in aplace he cant see us he'll start calling to us. He responds to us whistling, it's like calling out his name, if he gets lost and your in earshot just whistle and he'll immediately find you. Most of all I've been able to kiss him on his head (even though it really irks him) and he won't do anything. We once brought in a girl for him, but we didn't have two cages so they weren't used to each other and started fight. We had to put a cardboard barrier between them but we left little windows for them to see through. We would take them both out of the cage, but still indoors (too much risk the girl would run away) and they eventually stopped fighting. They were actually good mates, but the girl died of some sickness, the vet gave us some medicine but it didn't save her. For like two days he called out and kept calling for her. They had formed a bond in a few months which I couldn't form in two years with him. I love my Chukar so much. It's just a matter of how you raise them.

Poor little Bird. He keeps wanting to look out through the window. He wants to walk through the grass, feel the warmth of the sun on his back and the wind beneath his wings. Instead he is stuck inside a darkened bedroom. What a miserable life. I hope you take him outside his prison cell at least once a day. Come on....have a heart 💓!
