Massively cool collection. I have a pretty sweet stock of these too and have them separated from other books. I still buy new tie-ins when I can. Latest I have are the new Halloween books, which are actually supposed to be decent reads, but like you I often don't get around to it.

Whoa! You're up with the birds this morning, Gareth! I actually own some of these ; Forrest Gump, the two Rambos (along with Morrell's Rambo III book) and Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in America (which is a good companion piece to the film, rather than a straight adaptation). Was that Cliffhanger one written by Stallone himself? He used to do his own novelizations a lot back in the day ; I have a hardback book of Paradise Alley somewhere. Oddly enough, I had an old novelization of Freebie and the Bean arrive yesterday. That should be an interesting read ; without that film 48 Hrs and Lethal Weapon probably wouldn't exist.

I knew you were having a break, but I didn't know you were going away that far. Have a good one, Gareth.

Stallone just co-wrote the screenplay for this one. The novelisation author was Jeff Rovin. Shame as it would be interesting if Stallone did some more writing.

Thanks for the shout at the beginning dude. Much appreciated 👍 Thanks for showing your collection. You have some good titles there. I am interested in the Lethal Weapon and Poltergeist books. Both were expensive when I last looked. What edition is your 'Raiders...'? My copy is blue foil rather than your green coloured one. I think I read that the true author of Piranha was Leo Callan. There was a phase in the late 70s it seems where directors or story writers got their name on the books rather than the author. Star Wars and Close Encounters are two off the top of my head, which suggests some truth to it. Hope you can expand your collection in the future and let us all know of any updates.

@Video Tasties I think there are several copies from the same reissue run (2nd impression) which were available as either red, blue, green or yellow foil cover. The first edition of the novelisation was black it seems.
