The Godox X Pro used to work fine with Sony. The V5 update for the A9 broke compatibility, you need to turn EFCS off or it will misfire 30-40% of the time as you mentioned. X2T-S works properly with EFCS on.

Hey Chris, would you be able to share how you manage photo and video with the Sonys on a wedding day? I own 2 A7riiis but I feel the buffer takes too long to clear to be able to switch between photo/video quickly. Bought a Z6 as well for the XQD speed, works well.
@anthonygodines2661

Tom Gibbons one tip I learned while doing photo and video if your camera buffer struggles is to shoot video first then shoot photo. You should see a difference in buffer clearing
@TheTommyGFunk
4 жыл бұрын

@anthonygodines2661

Tom Gibbons I know man, same here. I’ve just found it works best that way when shooting with SD cards, I use a D750. When shooting with a camera that has an xqd card it doesn’t really matter like the D850 and now the Z6. Another thing I have done is carry a second camera strictly for video and that helps get around the issue as well. I usually shoot with two bodies anyways so just changing what you carry can make a difference as well.

Jason Malwitz yeah I’ve tried it with the update, my second shooter is still on the A9. Honestly it is better but not that much plus I love the extra detail and being able to use crop mode. And I’m using compressed raw so they aren’t too bad
@jasonmalwitz8044
4 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I don’t hesitate to use crop mode even on the A9 and a7iii. I don’t use it for shots that really need a lot of resolution because of the potential of large prints. Family formals and so on ... I’ve seen some beautiful 20x30 prints from 10 mp files.
