Thanks for sharing this. It's insightful to know how the MS CS course curriculum plays out. Great that you enjoyed it & explored CS more. Wondering if you also considered doing an MBA program at all? I noticed some CS folks tend to do that (mainly I think to do a career change, get more network, move up the corporate ladder, get into business side of tech like product management).

I did a few business courses during my MS CS and that was enough for me 😂 I can see how that combination could play well for people who'd like to become technical founders tho! 👌

I been wondering if I want to take a master's degree in CS... but then with time, I decided to just get some experience as a coder, and branch more into Cybersecurity. But now listening to you, damn I am getting torn again xb

I'm so glad I did my master's straight out after bachelor's. Wouldn't be able to go back to studying full time now 😅

Woow you're so talented, please bring more content about your masters it can be a series on your channel haha. It's so amazing when you can create real things from theoretical knowledge and studies. I am considering doing a master's degree in distributed systems or computer graphics I still don't know hehe 🤔. Could you attach a link to your thesis and papers? I would love to read your research. all the best and see you next time. 💜

Hi! New here, i was wandering: 1) what textbooks do i need to study masters in computer science? 2) can i skip Bachelor's degree in computer science and straight go to masters in cs, or is it compulsory to do the Bachelors? Thank you! Subscribed!

Hi and welcome! 😁 1) depends on the uni, we didn't need any textbooks - everything was provided online either by our lecturers or we just googled it 😂 2) if you already have Bachelors in another field then sure! You might need to sit a test to get into Masters CS but that depends on uni as well - some masters programs don't require any previous experience while some are more of an extension of Bachelors.

@@KaroCodes ohh ok! Thank you! Also if u can, could u list just a few stuff u googled or stuff the lecturer's provided, even a few is ok (if u can and don't mind😅) otherwise thank u again!

@@viewy3655 ohh tricky haha it's been a while so I don't remember the exact things - it's just very situational, for example: we needed to write an LVVM compiler at some point. Then I'd google what LVVM is, how compilers work, I'd design the language I wanna compile based on uni requirements + my own likings (so it was something very Java-like with classes and abstractions), then I'd choose the language I wanna write it in (it was Haskell for me) and then I'd just keep googling specific problems that I'd encounter as I implement it. Another one would be for linear algebra when we had an assignment about sparse matrices - I'd google what algorithms exist already for representing and processing that type of a matrix and then try to implement that myself. I hope that helps! 🤞

Great video but I do have a question. This one may be totally off topic but You appear short. I am maybe 5ft6. I am looking for a comfortable chair and for head and back support. Do you have any recommendations and also how is your chair?
@KaroCodes

Oh no I hoped videos will make me look taller 😂 I'm 1.57cm and this chair is called AKRacing California Laguna and it's the first chair that relieved my back pain! I tried Herman Miller chair which is supposed to be very ergonomic but my shoulder/back pain didn't get any better and I couldn't really sit in it long. If I was any taller I'd try secretlab omega.

On worse universities many people are allowed to take Masters Studies in Computer Science after any Bachelors Studies (even humanistic ones) without even exam checking their knowledge (and they do IT because they hear that "programers earn a lot"). Then such Masters Studies are just almost like 2 years of Bachelors, so people after Bachelor in CS dont take them to waste time on learning the same things second time. Fortunately Warsaw University is on higher level.

What I observed is that many universities don't require entrance exam for CS master's. It results in either what you mentioned: repeating the whole Bachelor's program or people taking the program but then not being able to keep up because the fundamentals are omitted.

I think it also depends on the masters program. Some of them are designed to be at a grad level like Karo mentioned, but others work alright for people switching fields.

Software Engineer specialising in video space. That can be video editing, processing, rendering, streaming, encoding etc. Might include simple audio processing. In my case it's quite close to graphics engineer with a focus on real-time processing.
