I am working on PCs since 40 years and I experienced the same: From time to time there get software released which "dies out" but leaves a gap because other products don't feel the same or don't cover exactly what this defunct software did. I always try to keep these programs alive (sometimes with ancient hardware like your G4 Mac) as long as possible. The disadvantage is, I have now a computer museum at home.

I know NewTek from the famous NewTek Demo Reel 01 for the Amiga a millennium ago. They made a multi media demo with short video parts, pictures, sound, speech and Music "Paranoimia" by Art of Noise. It was distributed/shared/copied on floppy-disc and somewhere between mind blowing and live changing at that time.

@@MarkusPix -An important TIP regarding your compact/desktop near-field speakers/monitors: Try a pair of IK MULTIMEDIA MTM’s! I once used the exact same speakers you’re using, so I can personally attest to the incredibly significant difference! They are compact, but Highly versatile, extremely flat and honest waveform response, and INCREDIBLE low-frequency capability for their size, all the way down to 40 Hz! So you can ditch the subs. For professionals, in a professional setting, they’ve easily taken over the purpose of the old YAMAHA NS-10’s in many studios. A lot of cutting-edge science incorporated into the design, and highly competitive, For any size, honestly. AND, each speaker comes with a high-Quality measurement microphone and powerful, but intuitive DSP Software, so that you can tailor them to any room, and any listening position/environment, in under a minute. The algorithm just does it for you, and takes into account the reflections, and any other undesirable frequency issues with your room, so that there is perfect continuity in their use as a dependable, “what you hear is what you get” tool, no matter what surface you sit them on. And they’re VERY affordable for what you get, at $500-$700 per pair. Moreover, when you order a pair, you get two of the measurement microphones and two licenses for the Digital Signal Processing software. They even beat out the mini, near-field GENELECS, not just in performance, but in being less than half the price. Anyhow, long story short, I can’t recommend them enough… And with all of the useful tips you’ve provided myself, and so many others regarding filmmaking/photography/motivation, I felt I should attempt to give back. For what it’s worth ❣️✌🏻

Water level on that Titan PCs are quite low. I'd recommend to either to take them to titan computer to clean water cooling loop and replace with fresh coolant. That I9 are 10 cores not 20. (Of course if works well that's fine) Those 8TB m.2 SSDs are very bad for transfer many data. It's QLC Memory that is not that fast. especially when drive is full. For Custom workstation i can recommend Puget Systems.

Cooling is everything. I aim a small deco period (well it looks deco but probably 50's) Vornardo fan at the back of my old Imac (10.6.11) all the time. No funds for new gear anymore. But then, all my software is paid for, and my ITunes doesn't owe any favors either. I completed a short noir film only using CS 4 P.S. extended for hand made fades and effects and it's animation timeline and edited by opening sections in various QuickTime windows and pasting back and forth. With 8 megs ram. It was still good enough to draw the attention of the CEO of Village Road Show back then, when he restarted his First Rites channel in digital form. Hey, it's raining....
