A true gentlemen, born around the 70s and grown up in the 80s will probably appreciate this classic watch in its true retro origin. Its an extremely subtle, peaceful, quiet and non-aggressive watch. The fact that you can go against the popular-masses views on the usual expensive watches - like most youtubers, I have indeed a new found in-depth respect for you. Value and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is not found on social media, advertisements and marketing gimmicks. Amongst my collection of APs, Daytonas and blah blah blah, I still find it extremely enjoyable to wear my Casios and Seikos. Wealth is quiet. Rich is loud. Poor is flashy. And don't bother about those thumbs-down because not everybody acquired that sort of understanding and taste I just mentioned. Brilliant video and sharing as always. Well done. This watch is probably most popular in my state of Kerala in India. Where you can see everyone who belongs to a 60s- 80s wear these watches. It has to do with the gulf boom that happened in Kerala back in 1960s when there was massive immigration to gulf by keralites to escape proverty and Kerala got rich as the gulf got richer and that 19 dollar Casio was something you'd see on every person from gulf, it was the favourite gift the non immigrants wanted to get from the ones who immigrated and came back home for leave. It's an affordable option at just USD $14 here in Jordan, making it an all-in-one choice for the Everyman. Elegant ageless simple classic design combines with practicality and utility, offers essential functions that everybody needs, particularly suitable for those who prefer to wear their watch on the right hand. If I were to consider an upgrade, I would look for a Casio watch like this with improved backlighting and a fully stainless steel body, i.e. case and bracelet. Alternatively, a basic Casio 'G-Shock' model.

I feel blessed that Casio is still making these watches. I can't believe I can go into a store and buy the watches I used in the mid-90s. I also have more serious watches, but somehow, when buying an expensive luxury watch, I feel that what I am doing is unrealistic. When I started collecting watches, I had absolutely no interest in these old little digital watches, in fact I didn't even know you could still get them. When I found out, I felt i have to buy one. The price I paid and the pleasure it gave me was incomparable to my more expensive watches. Because they are so cheap, wearing them gives you a great sense of freedom. Of course, regardless of that, I take care of them, but if an accident does happen, you don't have to worry about it. I love them.

Very true. For some reason the inexpensive Casio’s are counterfeited and sold close to the same price as the real thing.

I own a Casio A168, bought it in early 2017 year for 25$, when I placed it on my wrist, it just kinda fit perfectly. I have been wearing one for almost 6 years now and it stood the test of time. Because it has a fairly small dimensions of the case, it tucks under the sleeve no problem and that kinda protects him from the elements. It withheld pretty nicely. There are few micro scratches on a case but, generally, the chrome didn't fell off neither did display faded, etc... I am truly impressed with this watch durability and performance. Electro Luminescence is epic and the dial in a pitch black is as clear as it gets. I would pay a 100$ for this watch if they could just cram in two more features, a timer and a snooze. It would be the best watch ever to own in my humble opinion!

Yes a real watch lover who knows the quality of a watch not basing on the price tag...unlike other pretentious KZitemrs who reviews a watch based on the price tag...kudos to you bro

I did a lot of research of this watch and the A168 (which is the one I bought) before buying it because this one got me into the watch world. My father used to have the F91W and it reminds me of him. I really love this watch, it's so light to wear, useful in functions, really good looking and it's cheap.

It's my one and only watch. It's the most comfortable watch I've owned, the bracelet doesn't catch my wrist hairs and it's very unlikely to catch on anything. Very reliable, buttons can be a bit sticky, and I wish it had a countdown timer, but it's value for money. mine is the A158WE with gold surround to the display but everything else the same. I don't know why people think its old or outdated.🤨

I had one for years! But it was a black with rubber band. I still have a Timex Expedition for almost 20 years I use as an alarm clock on my nightstand. The straps have long since broken off but the watch is still ticking.

Am a millennial but grown on LATAM all the American 80's culture arrive here at the 90's so my youth was a mix between both decades like Ready Player One movie, this watch reminds me a lot the DeLorean from Back of the Future 1985, my favorite movie and curious thing the year I was born.

I have realized lately that the only feature I use on my Apple Watch is the time. I don’t use it for pretty much anything else. I decided I want to go back to a digital watch and I bought this to start. I am going to get the all metal g shock square one I graduate next spring but for now, it brings me back to my childhood. Having the digital watch that just feels good and lasts forever.

My favorite watch is an all original 1983 Casio 1477 DBC-1500 i found at a goodwill store and bought for $3 dollars not knowing if it would work, I took it to my watch guy had him install a $5 dollar battery and what do you know, everything worked on it, calculator, data bank, Illumination, the whole shabang, original band and even has some Patina around the pushers and casing in the back, I get sooooo many compliments on it when I wear it compared to my Rolex, Grand Seiko, Tudor, this little Casio hands down gets all the compliments and i wear it proudly..

Buy this Casio and invest the rest in cryptos. Then, buy your grail watch with your crypto gains. If someone gets snarky with you then tell them that the Casio is merely a placeholder for that grail watch as anything less is not worth investing money into.

I've watched a couple videos of yours, and here it's the 19 dollar casio that has me subscribing. I feel like I can relate in the idea that we need to step back, be patient, save, be in the moment more... as cheesy of watch clichés get, living in the moment is definitely up there... but I too, miss the 80s. This 19$ Casio may be cheap now, but I remember we couldn't afford them back when I was a kid. I never heard of a Rolex until the 1990s, and as posh and cool as those are too, the 1980s Casio, is the classiest watch my 10 year old self wanted. Especially with that crappy back light. Thanks for the video, it hit home. You are a pretty cool cat.

I once picked up a Casio watch on the streets it had no straps, I kept it dearly to me and one time it got lost my friends granma had to pay the person who picked it up for me to get it back. My friend is dead now and I lost the watch. In 2020 I was gifted a Casio watch and it brought so much memories I started buying more 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Yes. I had a Casio that my dad got me in the 80s. The interface looks exactly the same. Just ordered an Apple Series 7, but this would be perfect for my teenager.

I had one of the black and blue Timex Ironman watches. I was the envy of every other boy in my middle school. I rocked the watch while wearing my Reebok Pumps.
