I hate doing the Interior, I’m all about the Interior detailers for regular quick wipes so it doesn’t need too much deep cleaning. Good to see some more GB bits recommended, reminded me I need to get some more soft brushes 👍🏼

The interior detailers are spot on for regular cleans. I’m lucky my car’s interior is tiny so cleaning it isn’t too tedious for me 😂

Another awesome video!! A little trick for cleaning greasy steering wheels is to grab one of those magic erasers with some leather cleaner, comes out looking like new!! I have a question, I use the same brand of cleaning products all round, but have you ever experienced a chemical reaction between different cleaning products after each process or application?

Great choice of products Heather! That soft brush from GB Detailing looks very good. I don't like to clean the interior, so I usually use an interior detailer, which seems to do the job well for my satisfaction, but my interior is very simple, no leather or other hard to clean surfaces. Having an anti-bacterial product for the interior is another plus nowadays. Good and informative video, just as always Heather, Thank you!

Thanks very much! Interior detailers are great to have for a well looked after interior. I definitely prefer cleaning the exterior but I don’t mind cleaning my car’s interior too much because it’s so small it doesn’t take long at all 😂

I've watched all of these but is there a best affordable leather cleaner? Like < £10 maybe? I can't justify £20 on it, I would rather just use APC if possible.

The Leather Repair Company LRC1 is cheaper, I think it’s around £8 for 250ml. They sent it to me for review last year and it was really good. Only reason I chose the Colourlock one here is because I like the foaming action and LRC1 is a spray but you barely need any of it if you work it in with a damp brush so it’ll last ages

Really nice review Heather. You are spot on with the products and I like the fact you show you don't need a million and one products in order to keep a vehicle interior looking fresh and new for a long period of time. Just a few essential (and more importantly, EFFECTIVE) products which do an excellent job and won't empty your wallet. I have been detailing my vehicles for 40+ years and fell into (well, STILL fall into) the trap of buying WAY WAY too many products which I probably don't need to detail my vehicle. My garage is full of products I bought with the intention of using them and never have yet......5 years on........ It's crazy. I have an absolute obsession with detailing products which I am trying to break with no effect! LOL. I have been searching for one product line that covers all my detailing needs such as soaps, degreasers, dressing, interior, exterior, glass, etc. Basically just for organization purposes and to reclaim a lot of space in my garage! That would truly make me happy. I'm working on it......again, with little effect as of yet. I'll probably buy another product tomorrow........darn. LOL

Thanks very much Joe! I know exactly what you mean, it’s really difficult to stop getting tempted by new products! I’ve got a lot worse for it since starting this channel as I use it as an excuse but even before it I always wanted to try different products. Hey, to be honest with this Colourlock leather cleaner and the Leather Repair Company one I’ve tried as well, the leather feels great after cleaning it if I’m thorough with the microfiber towel when removing the product. A fresh damp microfiber mortally does the trick if any of the other surfaces feel a bit sticky though. I’ve heard that all purpose cleaners have potential to make the leather sticky because it’s breaking down the clear coat, I’m not sure how much of an impact it makes but could be a possible reason depending on the product you’re using 😊

Great video. Thanks for the tips on interior brushes, especially the soft brushes they seem to be necessary to agitate the product and develop a good foam. Dumb question - how do you clean the brushes or do you keep separate brushes for different products so as to not cross-contaminate? Thanks as always, you've got a big fan across the pond.
@AutoCareHQ

@andersbertelsen thanks for watching! I've just given it a watch and I agree with the point about the brushes probably causing some minor scratches on the piano black trim but I think a lot of microfiber towels probably do the same as well to be honest. I reckon that type of plastic would scratch if you breathed on it haha! I normally use the microfiber on any large areas and the brush for any areas that the towel definitely can't reach properly so I'm not too worried about scratches because it'd be hard to see them in those areas anyway
