I'm on 90duloxetine for pain management as well as anxiety. I still get thoughts like that as well as the winter blues. But I find for me the pros outweigh the cons so far. They remove my pain and level out my mood for the most part. Obviously everyone has emotions and some express them differently than others, mine just so happen to be outward bursts of 🤬 haha. But I can definitely see why duloxetine doesn't work for some people. Good luck on your journey, I hope you can find something that will help you with life's hardships. 🙏🏻

A lot of people say a keto or carnivore diet really helps them with depression. Have you tried that? I struggle with anxiety, depression, chronic pain and chronic fatigue & was prescribed duloxatine yesterday for fibromyalgia. I picked up the prescription, but would rather try a low carb diet first, of no more than 50 grams of carbs a day. Look up Dr. Ken Berry on KZitem if you haven’t yet, and thanks so much for sharing your experience!❤

This might seem like an obvious question, but have you thought about relocating? My job prevents us from moving, but I'd really love to leave the Northeast and relocate to a sunny, breezy island.

It's not wrong to flip your shit, and it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with you. You need to get it out. Just do it in a safe place with people who support you. The worst thing we can do for our emotional health is not be honest with how we feel, thinking it's unjustified, but underneath every feeling is a deeply held belief that we need to face and root out of us in order to feel better. You never get down to that belief if you don't allow yourself to feel. Cymbalta didn't do a whole lot for me. Viibryd defiantly increased my baseline from awful to mediocre. I've been working with a therapist for a while who believes that my depression was due to emotional repression, turning anger against myself. He pushed antidepressants, my doctor did, my family did, my spiritual director did. I've tried Zoloft, Cymbalta, Celexa, and Viibryd. All of them had varying degrees of the same effect, they killed my ability to feel good about anything, and it's a miserable feeling. It's like I used to have a pressure valve through which I could release all my emotional tension, and antidepressants took that away. I started to question the reasoning of my therapist, because while he has helped me significantly in many ways, the effects the antidepressants had on me seemed totally counterintuitive to the work I was trying to accomplish. If I'm learning how to feel and deal with my core emotions, then why am I taking something that kills them altogether? It's medically induced repression. So I needed to do what I thought was best for me and wean myself off the Viibryd, and rely more on a support system that I'm comfortable being totally open with. The work of Conrad Baars helped be quite a bit, I think he got depression down to a science a long time ago. He does lean a lot into his faith, and i'm not sure if you're Christian, but if you are he's a great resource.
