I live in Norway where the winter gets cold, wool sweaters are recommended to be aired out instead of washing. For anyone who has a balcony or outdoor area to hang the sweater for a few hours. You don't have to wash wool unless there is a stain of course :) Your collection is absolutely beautiful!!

Thank you so much! Yes, I barely wash my wool knits, only if I wear too many times in a row or if it’s smelling funny 🙈 I think it really depends on how long we wear it for and where we wear it. For wool pants, for example I end up washing them way more often as I’ll take the subway, bus and will sit and get too close to the weirdest areas in NYC - the hem is closer to the floor too, so must wash it 🤣🤣🤣

@@milainnewyork Haha 😅 I can imagine! And of course, it's lovely to wash the items once in a while. But wool is quite special in the way it's self cleansing and bacteria won't grow in wool 🥰

Sezane should make “tissue tees” the name is because of how thin the material is , the T shirts could fit under the specific sweaters to protect you from the itchies and prolong washing the sweater . I think people would spend a little extra money for the comfort and protecting their investment

Hi MIla! Loved seeing your new closet . I’ve been waiting for this video, your sweater collection is pretty amazing as well. In the winter and fall I always hang out my sweaters, coats and sometimes blouses in the cold air to freshen them up every time I wear them. It’s become such a habit that a few times I’ve forgotten them overnight and in the morning have been a little frozen 😂 but they smell so fresh. Thank you again for all your videos. It’s so enjoyable to watch!

Thank you for this video and sharing your thoughts on the sweaters, their fit, scratchiness (as I really care about that), and your tips and tricks for care and wear! Want to add a few products you should try in relation to caring for your sweaters: Eucalan Wool Wash - comes in scented (eucalyptus and lavender) and unscented - This wash is well known in knitting circles to wash one's knitting projects. What I love about it is the eucalyptus scent and the wash is great for hand washing. I say this because it will not leave a residue on your knits if you struggle with rinsing after you've washed it in this wash. Unlike many available detergents. Additionally, I had to cut myself off from the shaver as I ruined a beloved sweater and so switched to the comb you mentioned as well as I use a knit and separately a softer cashmere sweater brush. It's definitely more work compared to the shaver buuuuuut I won't be ruining a sweater by putting a hole in it because I was reckless with my shaver. Lastly, I saw your tumble air dry note AND if you haven't done it DON"T. Even without heat one can risk felting the knit annnnd that would make me cry. I was told to steam my knits if I need to refresh and fluff up the fibers. I invested in a travel steamer and a standing Jiffy Steamer and love to steam after wear and if I think I need to fluff something. It's great for a quick between wash refresh before I put the knitwear back in the drawers. As you explained, I freshened it and gave it a nice spray with a knit protective and that way all my sweaters will stay fresh together. Definitely LOVE your storage solution for knits and I need to think through my current space + collection and how I can better organize my clothes in general with more of a focus on my knits. Thank you again for your wonderful channel!

Air dry flat. No tumble dryer as it damages the fibers. If you are dealing with wool, you can place the item flat between two towels to get the excess moisture and then dry flat.

My Beautiful Mila inside and out. I love you so much. Thank you for making such a useful video for us. I really love your itchiest sweater on you(that green one). It looks so great on you. I think you should wear it more. Cut one of your uniqlo undershirts to make neck deeper or something but dnt let that sweater go unworn. And holly macoroni, you have a lot of knits 😂 I wouldnt even remember what i have if i were you and i just keep wearing my 1-2 sweaters over and over even though i dnt even have as many as you 😅 The knits that i got after watching your recommendations and completely love are: leontine, lyna, trudy and gaspard. They give me happiness whenever i see them. Zubaida

I was going to suggest this too. You can just cut an undershirt (like the Uniqlo one) to the right neckline so that it doesn't show; jersey fabric won't fray so you don't need to sew the edges or anything, but you could get a tailor to alter one for you if you wanted it done properly. It's a shame that it doesn't get worn. Otherwise, perhaps consider selling it so that someone else can get some use from it?

hello Mila, I appreciate the effort which you make for your followers, hopefully, your channel will get bigger soon :) it was a very informative video, I learned that I shouldn´t hang my knits, I also have pax wardrobe, and I am now thinking of buying baskets like yours to put my knits in. I am using odor neutralizer spray for clothes after each wear then I am airing them for a little while by opening the window. I am working as an engineer in a waffle factory, therefore my clothes mostly smell of dough or cake :) Sezane mohair knits look great and I have a few of them but I am not planning to buy any more mohair fabric. Sometimes I find them very warm and itchy :) Nowadays, I am preferring fabrics by merino wool and organic cotton. My favorites are Betty Bettany and Leontine. I am really happy that you have had good experiences with Turkish families, yes, my culture loves feeding the people🤣🤣 Do you know how long the April code is valid?

Hello dear Anna 😍 thank you so much for your kind and sweet message! I love to hear that you wear these knits and feel happy with them. The ones you mentioned are definitely part of my top 10! Haha In my opinion, Alicia is one of the best Sézane skirts! I love the cut and it’s so flattering! The new color is beautiful! Let me know if you end up getting it. 💓 Kyle is great, but it’s still knit (it’s more of a cream color, so maybe a white/magenta tee would look best with the skirt?). Also, Kyle is not too warm, but a T-shirt might be more versatile and better for warmer weather! I think a magenta tee would be fantastic with it 💕

Hi Mila, thanks for such a comprehensive video on the Sezane knits, I love your collection! I am thinking of getting a Lucas jumper but can't decide if I should size up or not! For context, I have the Leontine which I (Love!) bought in my usual size but that shrank quite a bit in the wash even though I washed with cold water :( I tried the Lucas in my usual size, fits me well and it seems to have longer sleeves than the Leontine (while new) but it's chunkier, so not sure if I should size up to accommodate for shrinking after wash, since Lucas also has quite a substantial amount of cotton. If you could share your experience with yours after washing, would be really great thanks!

Because I normally wear 38/40 (Europe) and am kind of in between sizes S and M but i Am only 160 cm so I definitely don't want the Otello to look baggy/too long.. I wonder how much the length varies in S and M for Othello.. Have you tried both sizes maybe? Also, on reddit some users say that Othello wears out and gets bigger over time. Hi! Beryl is 100% cotton, if you wash it in cold water by hand (or gentle cycle) and reshape it, it shouldn’t shrink. Let it air dry and it will be fine. I’m 5’5” / 1.66cm, 136lb/62kg, wear size 36 (4) for tops or Small. My bra is 36B, 89cm bust, 72cm waist and 102cm hips. I sized down for Beryl and took the XS because of the low V neck. I have a video from last year: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xXxt0X59sKJeaqg My measurements are listed in all my videos, along with the links to all pieces I review (it’s in the description box). 🌸

@milainnewyork
Жыл бұрын
Sami is cropped, but a loose fit. I would say it’s true to size - what they mean about sizing up, is just if you’re in between two sizes. For Sézane knits, I’m normally between XS and S (most of them run large), but for pretty much for all other brands I’m a true Small. I took the small for Sami and it’s perfect. If you have a long torso / much taller than me, or in case you want an even more oversized look, then take the M. Otherwise I would just get the Small!
@ivonat.6760
Жыл бұрын
I am just slightly smaller than you, not sure about torso though😅 I want it to sit just slightly looseer, but not to much loose or too fit. One more question, I know you are fan of sage color. Are you possibly planning g to get new Betty in sage? I asked Sezane today if it is more muted or bright sage and they said it is on the brighter side, so now am little confused how the actual color will appear in reality.

All my measurements are in the description box! I normally wear Small (36) for tops and I’m in between 36 and 38 for bottoms because my hips are 102cm wide :) waist 72cm, bust 89cm

I just bought two knits from Sezane and there’s so many I want because the colors and styles are just like no other. I just got the Solena Sweater in Blue Lagoon and the Aretha jumper in Peony. I live in Long Island, New York. As a sidenote, the Laundress was so disappointing. That they didn’t reimburse you for tax and shipping after having that problem definitely made it so I am never going to buy from them again.

I have three other ones. I have a Louise jumper in gray. The Basil’s cardigan in pastel green and the othello cardigan in beige. Now looking at your collection, I don’t feel so bad. It gets cold here in New York! I wear thin shirts underneath them as well. I forget the brand, but I’ll look it up and let you know. I didn’t know Uniqlo had them, so I’m going to look into them for some others.

The under garnet shirt I wear for itchy sweaters or just another warm layer is from a brand called “Intimissimi” and they’re very, very thin and they’re made from part cashmere.

I've just received the Othello cardigan and it's itchy on my skin 😢. I wish I had ordered another Betty instead...

Oh nooo! Which color did you get? I tried Othello in 3 colors and they all felt so soft and plush, very lightweight. I’d you’re sensitive to wool, you might like Louis, Lyna, James..these are wool too but no itch at all. I personally don’t feel any itchiness on Othello. Have you tried their wool cardigans?

@@milainnewyork I got the black one. My skin is indeed sensitive overall, but I have 2 Betty cardigans and they feel great on my skin. I guess I'll wear the Othello over a base layer and order only merino wool and cotton knits from now on. Thank you for your recommendations and useful videos!
