I know a little bit about entitled mothers too. My parents were so toxic that I bailed out at 18 and joined the navy (uk) without telling anyone. Somehow she found out where I was training and sent me a letter, demanding that I send her a fairly substantial amount of my pay as rent, 'because I am keeping a room open for you'. I had been full NC with them, and showed the letter to my divisional officer. His advice? 'Tell her to fro'. I am now 67, and didn't even go to the funerals after the both of them died.

My second youngest sister got a temporary summer job in a care home near Southend in Essex - we lived in South Bank in Middlesbrough at the time - mam still wanted my sister to send money home “to keep her room open” was mam’s excuse - but, after all the “live in all found” stuff was taken off, along with tax and national insurance, it didn’t leave her with much fun money - she told mam that it was not happening - she’s not currently living at home and shouldn’t have to pay board and lodge whilst not living there - she was back home fairly quickly - I think mam tried to demand back rent off her, to be told no! It would have been difficult to send any money home, as bank transfers and direct money transfer agencies were unheard of back in 1985!

for the Open relationship story, I absolutely dont agree with Am I The Jerk. For me both of the people don't sound like jerks. They communicate their thoughts, and the poly girlfriend is making her thoughts and feelings clear. As a poly person myself, I know that feeling and its amazing that she is talking about it. The op also isn't a jerk because he doesn't want an open relationship. Both of those things are valid. But for something like this to work, both partners have to be comfortable with it, and the op clearly isnt. Its best to communicate it with his girlfriend and if she doesn't feel like she can continiue in a 1 on 1 relationship, then it's better to break it off and for them to find a person that is completly comfortable with their positions.

Story 1 : My fathers second partner, not married, so technically not my stepmom, but she cared for me, washing, cleaning after my ass, food and such. I started working at 18 and she demanded 60% of my income as 'cost of living under their roof'. I agreed. .. I know, many of you would have denied that. So €900 every month to cost of living at home. That is a shit load of money, for me anyway, back then and now. At age 26 I wanted my own place and rented an apartment. I never saved anything, so I had beer crates with a pillow as seats, an old bed from my brother, dinner table with chairs from my pal, a sofa that my neighbors were throwing away. Housewarming party. My stepmom handed me a bank account with 50.000 EURO in my name. I started crying, felt like I won the lottery or something. This surely won't be the case in every situation for everyone, but in my case, this is how that went down.

Hi. I am liked and subscribed. Here is my story and I have been meaning to say this. Am I the jerk for talking behind an entitled karen’s back because she was mentally abusing my friend. I am a 9 year old male and this incident happend last year in the summer of 2020. So it was a typical day and me and my friends were playing football. Cue the kid. He randomly wandered into our football game and the hardest kicker (who I’ll call frank) kicked the ball into his face by accident. He started crying and yelling loudly and then we saw a woman rush over. Cue the entitled karen. She started to rub the kids cheek and frank started apologizing to her but then she started to blast frank. Frank then started to cry.( he was the same age as me). The Karen then started to barrage frank about what he had done and went on about her medical career and how he could have cracked his skull. Now cue the nice lady. So one of my female friends (who I Will call Sam) was witnessing the situation and called her mom who was the nice lady. She started to fight back at the Karen whilst still keeping her cool. Then I went back with my best friend and started to roast her behind her back to comfort my friends. All of the roasts were very minor and not to her face. Then when the Karen left we all went to confront frank. We all remember this day and have a great laugh about it. If you want any updated then I will provide on the next vid.

If you're polygamous.. Don't try to have a monogamous relationship with someone who is not poly. Just don't do it. You're always going to find yourself wanting an open relationship, and your partner will never be okay with it. Date other poly people. When you try to force someone to be poly, you're just encouraging all the stereotypes about open relationships.

@@Daddy12chan Being polyamorous doesn't give you a free pass to do as you please. You can't just use a label to override whatever your partner may feel is an issue in the relationship. They had agreed to a committed relationship with one-another to such an extent they even *ended up getting engaged*. There was plenty of time to pump the breaks if monogamy raised issues with her. Or to just say "no" to marriage. Unless we're not getting the full story, something external to their relationship and to what they communicate to each other changed. All this time OP's fiancée was happy with monogamy but after getting engaged suddenly that's not good enough anymore? Relationships are about growing together, not on each other's side of the fence...

you do realise that "consent" is exactly what classifies it as cheating and not cheating? this is basically telling someone who has two partners (under the knowledge of them of course) that they are cheating, which they are not because all parties are fine with it. What WOULD make it cheating if the polyamorous girlfriend didn't talk to her boyfriend about her feelings and just went to explore other people without telling him. There are people who can fall in love with two or more people at a time, and we can't really control it, that's why the most important part of a poly relationship is talking about what is fine and what is not.

Dental insurance isn't always provided by employers and is usually optional, so they may actually not have it. Also, depending on the plan, there could be a deductible. Typically there's a maximum for each person along with one for the whole family. $1500 as an annual family deductible is not unheard of, especially on a fairly basic dental plan

That is exactly what I said. Many people in my state are under insured or uninsured and people with low income go without dental care. Dental "Insurance" is a joke here. Even when I had dental insurance and before I met my deductible, I would have to pay $150 per tooth extraction. But I couldn't afford it because I had low income so I went without. Eventually I decided to stop having the benefits because I couldn't afford it even with partial coverage.

In most states, health insurance doesn't cover any dental care at all. Even if you have dental insurance, there is a limit on what it'll cover and people usually still have to pay for the deductible and percentage for dental care, depending on what the procedure is. In my state, the dental insurance will cover up to $1,500 per year. For general extractions, a person would have to pay $150 per tooth or more out of pocket, after what the insurance will cover. If you have already reached that $1,500 per year, you have to pay for everything out of pocket. Dental "insurance" here is a joke. So for this person to be told that they may have to spend $1,500 for the dental care they need, it wouldn't be surprising to me at all. If the OP is a minor and depending on where they live, it might be illegal for a child to be forced to pay rent, food and medical care.

Open relationships brought up in the middle of a monogamous relationship is basically saying "I'm not ready to stop being a hoe" and that goes for males and Females. I had to step away from my ex bc that exact bs is what she said to me about having so much love to give. I said bye then and now she's in another "monogamous" relationship where in less than a year she's pregnant. So I knew that she was already sowing seeds of something with that guy way before we broke up. It's cheating with extra steps unless both parties benefit.

I don't think the partner is deceitful or dishonest, I think she's just poly, thought she was mono, got with OP who was mono, was straightforward about her past and then straightforward again about wanting to try being poly again. To come to the conclusion that that behavior is deceitful and dishonest when poly relationships by nature require more honesty and communication than mono relationships as well as when she's been honest with him the whole time is irrational. What it really is is evidence of their incompatibility and that their relationship would probably come to a pretty terrible end, and that they should probably part ways.

I love the way you pronounced the "r" of "rent" ! It's like a little vampire accent. 😂 Because this is what this woman is. A vampire.

Ok the story with the gf. Dump her ass! No she's not trying to be a friend to him. She's trying to see where she can go with this guy. She's using his break up to her advantage and being all, I can be there for you to get you through this hard time kinda thing. Guarentee She's acting when it comes to being in a relationship with the guy so she can get closer to his friend

So why couldn't she wake her brother the hell up and get the keys from him or make him move it? You know maybe she should just sleep in front of the front door whenever her family comes to visit since she's such a freaking door mat

the mother in the first story must either be Latina or black or Chinese, cause only those three ethnicities say " I'll save it for you " then go on and spend it on Michael koers bags and other stuff .
