Thanks heaps Derek! Appreciate all the information I can get on a pre-launch strategy :) Have you ever ran a campaign where you're selling for a couple of weeks BEFORE you place the order, and set the quantity to some rando high number? Then after gaging how many you pre-sell - decide how many SKUs you will actually order?

You don’t. That’s the beauty of business. It’s all a big risk at the end of the day. When your back is against the wall you have no choice but to market it the best you can so you don’t have to run into that issue. And say you do, you just pivot and figure it out from there. Entrepreneurs are not afraid of failure. It’s always learning from past mistakes and getting better.

How exactly do you get paid to order inventory? Doesn’t Shopify not allow you to pull out money until products are shipped out to customers to then be able to withdrawal your balance? Please answer only question I have for preorder
@MonkeyjungleJack
Жыл бұрын
That's not true. You can set your shopify payout schedule to daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly. Whether orders are fulfilled or not you will get paid for the order value :)

Make sure you’re straight forward in all your policy’s. Explain the rat strat you’re doing pretty much to avoid Shopify holding your money. Before someone buys at checkout, make them agree to all conditions. They can be whatever you’d like. They’re agreeing, and you’re not liable if they just skip past it. It’s pretty much like a legal contract.

Do you refund the customers' money if ever you don't reach the needed amount to pay for your bulk? let's say you have no capital/own money left at this point.
@ddahl
Жыл бұрын
I’ve never ran into that issue. My biggest issue was that I didn’t buy enough inventory. When you have a great product and solid marketing behind it, you aren’t as worried when taking that risk. But at the end of the day it is a HUGE risk. So, that’s why it’s important to really gage how much inventory your buying. And only you will know your own risk management. No one else.
