Tysm for your reply! I want to ask a few more questions please ^^ 1. How many are the maximum days can you move to the dormitory *before* the semester begins? 2. When did you convert your money to krw? How much did you need to convert (e.g.: 100.000 krw)? 3. Can you use visa/mastercard at the dormitory (such as cafeteria, laundry, gym, etc)?
@stilinhski

You‘re welcome ☺️ 1. Hmm, i think it should be about 1-2 weeks 2. I always withdrew money whenever I felt like i needed it :) It‘s very common to pay by card but sometimes they won‘t accept the visa card. So, always make sure you have a little bit of cash on you! You should definitely withdraw a bigger amount if you want to avoid paying too many fees :) 3. i never used the gym or went to the cafeteria 😅 you can get a laundry card for 1000 won and reload it! I don‘t quite remember but I think you can also pay by card (not sure if the visa card was accepted) :)

this video really came right in time because i was renominated by my school to attend chung-ang for the fall semester (i was supposed to be there for this current spring semester, but covid got in the way). when you arrived on campus, did they make you quarantine at all? i have seen that some people are forced to quarantine in a hotel which is too expensive, and i was wondering if you were able to quarantine elsewhere. thank you for the informative video! i've been watching your videos for a while and they have eased my anxiety and made me sway my decision to go to korea! :) (hopefully it happens this time, haha)

Hello, your video was really helpful! I'm planning on moving in next week. Besides a Tb test result did you need anything else to check into the dorm? Maybe a covid vaccine card?

i'm glad to hear that! 🤍 at that time there was no such thing as the covid vaccine card haha so we only had to show our tb tests! maybe you can contact the dormitory for further information, they'll know best!

hello love, i'm so happy to hear that 🤍🤍 i think it's definitely manageable! i was worried too but i got really good grades in the end. the classes i took were quite easy to follow and the workload wasn't too overwhelming. i'm sure it's a lot more challenging for a normal student but for an exchange semester it was perfect! i had plenty of freetime as well ☺️

Hi, so I'm accepted as one of the students from my home university to exchange study in Chung Ang, and I just submitted the form where I uploaded financial statement, academic transcript, etc. How long do I need to wait? Is it the two months that you said? Sorry my English is not that good, I don't fully get how the schedule goes. Also you were one of the students that got the dormitory website error, so technically you couldn't get the dormitory, but at the end you were still listed to be in the dormitory. So I wonder, do exchange students always get listed in the dormitory? Please kindly answer my questions 🙏
@stilinhski
2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, first of all congrats 🥳 Yes it takes a while, if I remember correctly up to 1-2 months. Hm, i don‘t think international students are prioritized but the university considered the technical isuess in the application process and at that time a lot of exchanges were cancelled because of corona, so there were probably more dormitory rooms available :)
