PLEASE reach out if you or anyone you know is in crisis or struggling with their mental health.
I've been struggling with anxiety and depression for as long as I can remember. When I was little, however, I was too afraid talk to someone and get the help I needed. I always assumed I was fine and that everyone goes through moments of depression and anxiety. In 2017, I had no choice but to reach out. I started my antidepressant journey with Lexapro and, later, Wellbutrin. I hope this helps at least some of you.
In this video, I discuss anxiety, depression, suicide, and my experience with antidepressants.
Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the United States (43.8 million, or 18.5%) experiences mental illness. And, of those individuals, only 41% in the past year received professional health care or other services. The stigma is real. You are not alone. Let me repeat this, you are not alone.
