How Ed Lover, didn't mentioned Jimmy spicer, Spooney G, The Fatback Gang, Sugarhill Gang. l mean Super Rhyming classic Brooklyn story telling. Grandmaster Flash and the Furious five was Hot. It was a Friday night and the party was rocking... Them dudes had some real lycrics. Yeah Ed Lover mentioned James Brown, one of the all time cuts in park Brooklyn, Make it Funky....1 2 3 4 Hit it break beat. Go back Dance to the Drummers beat, MSFB, man that's some you know. Classic Hip Hop, back then I like it known as Rap. Man that take you back especially when Dougy Fresh, Slick Rick Danna Dane Nightmares of the night classic of the 80s. A silky cat wear swade in the rain, had the....Big had some stories: funny, real, he went there, still trying to figure it out. 44 in 54 draws...Pac had some shit too, In a Whiteman's world. Got to say Big my favorite he made even the looser feel good like there was a place for them in this world. B I G.

I love being 52 and loving Hip Hop since the first time I heard it. And being from the South near Memphis, we didn’t know half the places they were rapping about but loved the music all the same. And Ed Lover is a LEGEND!!!

Ed Lover is a legend!!! I remember when me and the crew met him in front of "Gray Papaya" right after the Puerto Rican day parade!! Such a down to earth dude!! He didn't have to come across the street to say "wassup" but he did. Cool as Hell! S/O to Ed & Dre. And thank you for letting me rock out on the Morning Show's Roll Call!!!

MTV raps was the shit back in the day. Huge thanks to Dre & Ed for turning me onto rap in the 90's. Growing up an hour north of NYC in the "country" and hearing the lyrical stories that the early artists layed down was like none other. Awesome interview Wu-Tang definitely #1 group all time

We used to go to the taping of the Cosby show in 1987. They filmed it around the corner from my school, Edward R. Murrow HS in Brooklyn. Malcolm(Theo) & Cockroach use to play basketball in our schoolyard. Best time growing up!

As early 80s baby passionate Hip Hop head, 88-95 Yo MTV raps was so important to help melding me into that (along with Stretch & Bobbito + Wake Up Show Sway N Tech in 90s) and Ed Lover was a huge part of that as a fellow clowner hip hop head! Dope episode!

This has to be the fastest two hours to fly by in my recent life. I grew up watching Ed Lover and Dre on Yo MTV Raps in the 90s. Ed is super interesting person to listen to and has so much Hip Hop and rap history inside of him, I could listen to him tell stories ALL DAY LONG! Good to see you again sir, I am 50 years old now and can clearly remember the time I spent learning and enjoying the culture on your show. Thank you Math for having Ed on your spot, it allowed me to reminisce on my youth!
