What the South(ATL) was going through when NY had rap on a chokehold. 1st, Respect to New York for Hip hop mecca pioneers. 2nd I don't really give a f about NY.The West and the South united and brought in other rappers and embraced rappers from different regions in a way New Yorkers didn't. And then New Yorkers wondered why nobody wanted to continue saluting NY after NY rappers had pretty much insulted everyone and demanded everyone bow down to them as superior.🤫
@lukekylestanley4072
8 ай бұрын
In the 80's and 90's New Yorkers not only ran rap, but they laughed and mocked anyone not from New York or Jersey. They closed the doors to everyone, and looked at everyone as less than New York. Raekwon, Canibus that era of rappers in their rhymes and in those magazines downed the South. So, when the WEst Coast and the South started to rise without the help of New York, and catered to strip clubs and dance clubs with more understandable topics and lingo THEN NEW YORKERS had no allies cause mf'ers remembered how y'alls radio stations and rappers gave us no love until Outkast. That hate was real and the South and the WEst heard it.

touching on the Pimp C , Jay-z situation i don’t think Bun B understands why Jay-Z wanted them period. he wanted to corner the market of the midwest/ southern part of the market. that shit made jay z a global superstar because of the success that came from it from the midwest and south. he’s smart asf wether pimp liked him or not trust me he needed yall to corner that area.
@Kalifornia_Dreaming
8 ай бұрын
And that's exactly why Pimp did not want to do it.Pimp said he didn't want to jump on the record just because Jay-Z was hot and that be all they would be known for.And he talked about NY disrespecting the South.He knew they were being used.He also did not like the beat and had his feelings about the Tupac situation. For Jay, it was all bout money, and for Pimp it was about integrity and loyalty. Not everyone can be bought, but he ended up doing the song for Bun.

This was A legendary interview and much needed man this is dope . The legend in the building Bun B #UGK #TRILL #RIPPIMP , But I do have to say something I’m frm the south & I have watch only A few interviews with Bun in recent years as he really doesn’t do any but I just watch the interview he did with BOBO & His wife on Super Tite Tv & this is people he knows personally and I feel like he was very reserve & didn’t give much didn’t really talk like he talked on here like he up here like big talking really talkative & like having A great time which is Dope but u would think you would get that Vibe from him on interviews back home but he be really dry & answer A question and that’s that nothing more . I love Bun but I have to keep it real & I feel like Bun always cared about what New Yorkers think about him which he doesn’t need validation becus bro is A legend & a lyrics for sure dope dope , but I think he always wanted to be recognized more by New York then the south , Even when Pimp was going off and exposing A lot of the Bs Pimp c would always have to say and Bun dnt have anything to do with what I’m saying I’m saying this I’m saying that And Bun don’t have anything to do with this , like pimp had to say that ,why Becus Bun felt like Pimp was tripping & thts becus Bun B cared about what other thought about him . So Bun didn’t want anything to do with what Pimp was talking about & again this goes back to what I was saying about Bun not giving interviews like this to no one in the south not even people he know personally from the south , I mean I just watch one he did & the energy is way different I mean Bun even seem more comfortable there In New York even getting A haircut lol , but is energy is way up I have never heard Bun talking like this before . Just like sense Pimp dien I feel like Bun have never showed the reaction u would think he would have , If it was the other way around You would have really seen Pimp and his reaction and it would have still been showing tell this day . Just like the information just came out about Pimp death and who did it , Man the guy they say kill pimp just look at the clown 🤡 , it’s no way this dude Killed Pimp just him alone . I’m not saying no one helped him commit the murder it self but someone more powerful was involved!!! Just think about it the dude buddy is no one powerful not even known to anyone & the story of how he kill him just sound pathetic. They say it was the guy buddy in the room and two females one was there for Pimp , Pimp goes to the bathroom & the guy Buddy says hey don’t say nothing I’m about to play A prank on Pimp & then pours something in Pimp’s drink , First of all that’s not A prank the minute u pour something in A person drink that’s not A game I dnt care if u put water in it You dnt even play with A persons drink . So anyway he pours something in Pimp drink pimp comes out the bathroom drinks the drink & immediately starts coughing up blood 🩸!! So u telling me they watch the guy buddy puts something in his drink & now he’s drinks It and start coughing up blood right away , now he’s coughing up blood and while he’s doing that they supposedly start grabbing there things and just walk out and leave Pimp while he’s throwing up blood ? 🤔 That don’t make any sense & the one girl that was there for pimp she just leave as well 🤔 like that just don’t make no sense at all. Don’t get me wrong the guy buddy could be the one that did the dirty work but it was someone bigger behind it & I believe Bun was the one behind it. Bun B had gotten used of having UGK all to him self while pimp was locked up & when Pimp got out Pimp was on 🔥 🔥 🔥 and everyone was on his music everyone wanted to hear what he had to say , pimp also was bringing artist back together that was at first not speaking anymore . The guy that they say killed pimp c guess what he got killed & guess what the middle man usually does it’s called tying lose ends.
