We celebrated my father's last birthday party. Once again he had mariachis play which is his favorite.

BROWNSVILLE, TX. - Philip Edward Gaynor entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in Brownsville. He was ninety-five years old.
Philip was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 29, 1929, to the late Philip Amos Gaynor and Anna Miller Gaynor. He was a proud veteran having served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force. Philip was a superintendent of the New York City Transit Authority. His favorite pastimes included skiing, fishing, bowling, and reading.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents, Philip Amos Gaynor and Anna M. Gaynor, and his sister, Margaret Ann Ramirez.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Maria Guadalupe Cortez Gaynor; his children Philip Edward Gaynor, Jr., Roberta, and Karla V.; grandchildren Philip III, Michael, Nicole, Lauren, Jason, Jaqueline A., and John.
Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. Monday inside the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home.
A chapel service will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from the East Chapel of Darling-Mouser Funeral Home. Burial will follow with military honors at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
