Fabulous collection of mini reviews!!!!! I always learn so much from you. Your product knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I’m fairly new to the Fude experience. I credit you and Michelle Wang for opening my eyes. Once I tried it, I was sold. Applying and blending at the same time with such delicacy and precision completely revamped my makeup application process. Thanks so much! As a newbie, I am still finding my favorites. Right now, I must say that I love Sonia G’s Niji brushes in regular and travel size. I use them for bronzer and blush. The blend is life changing🥰. I also enjoy using Rose and Ben’s C41 blush brush. It’s synthetic but does a nice job. Danessa Myricks recommended it for applying her blurring balm powder. I use it for blush. Thanks again for all the time and energy you put into your videos. I truly appreciate it. Now, I’m going to give your favorite brush from the Lotus set a try. I’m embarrassed to admit that I bought the set but haven’t used it yet.

Dear Alicia, Thank you for your explanation of your favorite brushes. Although I already have a few Sonia G brushes, I am sometimes overwhelmed when it comes to choosing brushes. But I still need a powder bronzer brush. The TANSEIDO AQ20 CHEEK BRUSH speaks to me the most and I am considering buying it. Can you recommend a brush in a price range below that? ;-) I would also like to buy a brush for cream bronzer and cream blush. Which one would you recommend for this? You are one of my favorite KZitemrs because I really value your opinion. Due to recent periodic dermatitis, I now have to forego any care, including cleaning. I would be interested to know if you still don't use skin care. I wish you a happy new year and a great, successful, healthy and happy New Year. regards from Sandra from Germany

I won a Tanseido AQ20 in a recent raffle from Fude Beauty and it’s just magic, all other bristle varieties in my collection pale in comparison in terms of softness (though I have never felt the Chikuhodo Kazan bristles...) Not a brush I would’ve gone out of my way to purchase but now that I have it I get the hype for sure and feel blessed to have it gracing my face every so often, so much so that I’m considering picking up an AQ14 to match it’s mama lol💀🤩🤩

WHEW! AQ20 is in its own REALM. And I forgot to include a Kazan brush (shame on me), but dare I say I think red squirrel might be softer. I will compare them in an upcoming GRWM!

You are such a QUEEN for this. Fluffy cheek brushes have been on my mind and i often think of your videos and how effortless that fluffy blush pounce looks! Whereas i struggle with being a n00b, my heavy handedness (im a manual laborer and a brute), and brush shapes that feel too targeted even though they are made for blush. I don’t seem to understand how to use them but im getting better. THIS THOUGH. Your connoisseurship!! Thank you!!💫☄️✨

Alicia - I've been watching your videos for years, but I rarely comment. Thank you SO much for your details, the chapters, the links, and your honesty!! I'm new to fude - I only have Rephr brushes, and after doing some research, I decided to upgrade. Your videos are some of the most helpful when doing research for new brushes - especially this one. Some other videos have the content comparing fude brushes, but the links bring me to a store that is....very confusing. Or there are no links. Or they show 30 brushes but don't list them in order or have chapters so you can compare easily. Thank you sooooo much for the time you take to make those little details. It really, really helps!! I made a splurge order and used your links!!

But are you comfortable with the way the hair from those brushes are sourced? *how they are *really* sourced*? Or do you put it to the back of your mind? Genuine question 😊
@aliciaarcher
Жыл бұрын
Yes because I learned that cruelty exists on a spectrum. Some feel that because the hairs are mostly sourced from the food industry and pest control, that they weren’t sourced from cruel means because the animals are already dead. I rather have the hairs be made into something, than the entire animal being discarded. And I am aware that farming exists also, but I’m not clear if it’s a direct effort or a side product like the previously mentioned origins. It’s like the food narrative how even with a vegan diet, there’s still death and I would argue cruelty in taking out entire ecosystems for the sake of mono cropping. And the same thing with industrial farming. So I pick my battles, and order from regenerative farms and try to be aware of my food sources. So I’m aware of the resourcing but I don’t lose sleep over it, because even if I bought exclusively synthetic brushes, cruelty will still exist.

Thank you, Alicia for this video. It’s a lot of work so we appreciate it. Blush is my favorite makeup product so I have MANY blush brushes, including many featured here. I like dense brushes for blush that’s a little soft or light because they pick up more color (Tom Ford original cheek brush). I love long bristled, whispy brushes for highly pigmented blushes (SG soft cheek). And undyed goat hair for cream blushes. The original “kitten’s paw” per LE, Suqqu cheek is unparalleled for superb application and sublime experience. I have two of those. ❤

Your spot on about how a high quality brush is a total game changer. They will quickly elevate your makeup game & make you wonder why you waited. I can’t stress enough how important a good brush is. There are so many amazing Fude brushes that are just as cheap and in some cases cheaper than mass produced crap. I will never understand those who spend tons of money on cosmetics but get all cheap on their brushes.

I just ordered the Tanseido AQ20 Cheek Brush. I absolutely desperately have needed a brush with the lightest application as my face is almost flat and almost all brushes simply apply a band of color. I need a wash of color. Now I’m on the edge of my chair. Thank you for all your usual hard work.

With the he Sonia G detail I can pounce my blush and it diffuses the blush into my skin softly. The blush looks soft, diffused and natural. It gives me a shine from within without having to use a high lighter. It feels almost like a sponge. It’s perfection

My dream brush is a fude version of the discontinued ELF precision airbrush stipple brush. I bought extras when it was discontinued, of course. I love that it is a stipple which allows me to control the amount of liquid, balm, and cream products as I apply. I use it all over my face for foundation, bronzer, blush, and highlight. It isn't flat like a traditional stipple brush. It has a taper to the overall shape and the longer bristles are not so dense. I have 42,000 freckles so my options are to cover them or let them shine through. This brush allows me to take a longwearing, full coverage, and matte (I'm oily) product and quickly make it shear where I like it and FC where I "need" it. It's a great brush, I love it. I want a better quality of materials.

Hi Katie! I have I think the T-11, which is flat on both sides. I could only assume that the T-13 would lend itself to a circular blend, which would leave the foundation looking quite smooth! It is natural hair, so not as durable as synthetic. But it will take away more product, leaving behind a more natural finish.
