I've been doing dynamic stretches now instead of static before and it definitely helps with workouts. Static I do after workouts

Gerald, I had never seen this video. Yesterday I slept 4 hours only and went to 2 hour training at night, I was destroyed. I tried this routine instead of static stretching. Surprisingly I felt faster and more alert than usual, despite the lack of sleep. Was it all in my head or did this video just change my life? :) The only thing is that today my calf, which was injured before the summer, hurts a tiny bit. I usually give it a good static stretch of 30 seconds, which I didn't do yesterday.

Please do a video on what shots to warm up. So many people immediately smash or clear to me. And they don't even bring out a shuttle. I've had players insist on doing warmup drills with all players on court instead of in pairs. They run all around the court except me.
It was really great warm up. Keep up the good work, dude.

I just finished a badminton camp at my Church. What I did was spend equal amount of time to do some stretches first, and then do some dynamic stretching. I think for older people which I had to work with, the stretching does help them quite a bit.

Hi bro i have one doubt. Is that ok to play badminton in the morning and going to gym(for muscle gain and stay fit) in evening regularly ? .
@shiroineko13
4 жыл бұрын
more exercise is always good, whether that is going to the gym or play sports. do note that some muscle gain depending on the area on the body may not translate well into you playing a better badminton game. in fact, too much muscle mass might weigh and slow you down than if you were light and agile. this is especially true if you play professionally.

@BG Badminton Academy- Hi! I’ve watched a couple of your videos and they are very helpful. However, when I do a forehand shot to return a birdie that is pretty high in the air, I hit my wrist really hard with the racket, often resulting in a bruise. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do to fix it? Thank you. I’ve subscribed to your channel after watching the “tips to make you a better player” video, keep up the great work!

I think you're holding the racket a little high up the handle (closer to the shaft). Try pulling it down a bit.

There is no such thing as static warm up is there.....Probably just focused muscle group warm up first to get started and then whole body warm up like shown here.....Focused muscle group warm up i feel is very important especially when starting fresh in the morning after a long sleep....

Yes, a lot of coaches teach static stretching to warm up and it's not necessarily good for performance.
