Hi Kenny! Have you seen David Meeker's book "Jazz in the Movies"? It's very comprehensive and international in scope (including shorts and documentaries) - a great resource! I'd also like to put in a plug for a soundtrack album composed and led by the great Bill Lee (who died just last year). It's another Spike Lee Joint (Bill was Spike's dad) called "She's Gotta Have It", with terrific tunes and surprising, unforgettable melodies with Bill Lee and company's beautiful playing! Bill Lee was truly under appreciated! Check it out!

Kenny: Don't forget the soundtrack to Body Heat. The score is by the great John Barry. Perhaps the most sensuous opening theme of any motion picture. And for motion pictures, what about The Pope of Greenwich Village starring Mickey Rourke and Eric ???? The acting is spot on. The intro by Frank Sinatra is great. And you did not forget Alfie by Sonny Rollins. How about The Reivers with Steve McQueen (some good banjo work), and Paper Moon with Tatum Oneil and her father ???. Great post !

Brother Kenny, how is my favorite Record Reviewer today? Thanks for doing this great video on Movie Soundtracks! I'm definitely going to pick up 'Round Midnight' and a few others you mentioned. 'Goldfinger', one of my all time favorites, gets played around my condo and in my auto quite often, along with 'You Only Live Twice' and 'From Russia With Love'. John Barry already was into his sixth Movie Soundtrack at the early age of thirty-five, Incredible! 'The Living Daylights' soundtrack, also Bond, is wonderful with the Pretenders doing some fantabulous songs! ''SuperFly' from Curtis Mayfield, I picked up as a 45 I believe back when I was in middle school, is always good! And John Williams, "Memoirs of a Geisha', simply marvelous! Peace and Love to you and family as always, my brother!
