Hi and thanks for checking out my travel channel Go Get Maya.
Have you heard about the Rod Fai Train Market? It used to be my favorite night market back when I was living in Bangkok, and last month I went to visit it again, to see how it looked after the pandemic.
Rod Fai is an authentic open-air market selling an incredible variety of vintage memorabilia, from shoes to antique forniture, old cars, spare parts and road signs.
There are also many shops selling modern clothes and more typical stuff, there’s a skate park, and there are cool restaurants, bars and snack stalls.
The Rod Fai market, also known as Srinakarin Train Market, is located on Srinakarin Soi 51, behind the Seacon Square Mall.
To reach Rod Fai from downtown the best way is to get a taxi, however traffic can be a nightmare, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so the fastest way is probably to take the BTS to Udom Suk station and then ride a taxi or a songtew.
