I've been playing around with this. This goes sooooo well right into another trick! I use the 7 of hearts, for example, as the key card. I do the trick as taught, and talk about how lucky the spectator must be. At the end, I pick up the face up tens, and put them back on top of the remaining deck. When you pick up the four piles from right to left, you're left with the 7 of hearts on top (now a force card), and plop this pile on top of the remaining deck. Do a false shuffle or cut, and tell the spectator you'd like to test their luck one more time. Do the cross cut force. Say that you always carry a lucky card with you. You've got the time misdirection while talking about your lucky card and retrieving it. Have spectator flip over the card they cut to. Show that it matches your lucky card. #mindblown

Ok. Great trick. But at the end they choose the amount of cards. So a fourth pile? In my try there were two more cards. So the two tens in the first two piles were wrong.
