I have a 16' scamp with many mods and added a very similar hatch right behind the tire. Since I had modified the interior a great deal there was a new twin bunk on each side. On this side I boxed in an enclosure for outside access with the hatch for entry. It is very handy for all of that stuff that you really don't want inside.

@@shaunwilkens where does the crank and tension bar thing store at. Separate of the awning...in your vehicle or in the Scamp I’m guessing ? Also do you ever get concerned of the fiberglass cracking at the brackets for the awning?

Hello Shaun, I hope you are well. Do you happen to have the part numbers of the awning accessories? I would like to accessorize the awning and it did not come with these items. There are a lot of options on the Thule website and I do not have the actual awning part number to match. I am not sure how to contact you directly. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, TJ

@@shaunwilkens Cool. :) It's super humid and hot where I am in the summer so the fan wouldn't work. I'm glad it works for your local temps. If you camp in more humid/hot areas--you'll have to rig more cooling though.
