Love Burgundy and the dice variant! Card variant is okay, and I haven't been able to check out Tuscany yet, but I'm super excited to grab it.

I enjoyed Castles of Burgundy and Tuscany's been on my radar since then. I'm also curious to try out the card game and dice game versions of CoB.

I recently watched your top 5 games for 2 people. Loved how you laid out that info. That was 6 months ago. I can tell how much your video editing skills have improved. Well done, your videos look great. Also, you look great. The last 6 months have done you well as well. Keep up the good work

I really want to learn how to play Castles of Burgundy, but I am afraid it is too complicated to start out with. My goal is to get to that point, but it looks like these other games would be some stepping stones to get there. Thanks!

Don't be intimidated! Castles of Burgundy is not too complicated and once you play once (making a mistake or two), you'll get the hang of it. The iconography is really good and the game will be so fun, you'll want to play it over and over:)

@@TabletopTolson Ah oh… I would be careful, especially when teaching games, calling a game “not too complicated”. Because what you think is or isn’t complicated may be different from what they feel is or isn’t complicated. Trust me, I know from experience! (And the channel M is for Meeple also has a great video discussing how to teach a board game, in which this is a point they make). When you say that, you are just setting the expectation for them that they should be able to pick up the game easily - so if they don’t, that doesn’t go over very well. “I thought this game wasn’t a complicated game”… And it can also make them feel like there is something wrong with them, since they can’t pick it up - when they feel, based on what you told them, that they should be able to.

Think these would be my ranking (they are all fantastic btw): 4. CoB the Card Game 3. CoB the Dice Game 2. CoB 1. CoT

Nice! CoT is easier to unpack, play, and replay than CoB for sure.

Are you going for the new blinged out version on game found now?

It's incredibly tempting, considering it's my favorite game. I'm still thinking...

4:55 But the card game takes almost as much space on the table as the board game. I would rather just play something different - like the dice game… or maybe even The Castles of Tuscany. Yes, it is not the exact same type of experience as Burgundy (the original), but you aren’t always looking for that - and you can always get a game of it in at a later time.
