The beauty of doing a 100 song list is everybody should find many of their own favorites on that list. As for those negative people, my motto is you can't please everyone so you've got to please yourself! I guess I stole that line, but it is true and usually you will find the vast majority of people will appreciate and respect your list even if it doesn't match their own.

It’s hard to take criticism, but you take it with class. You make it clear that this is your opinion. We don’t have to agree. I enjoy your sharing this beautiful music with us. This is depth and passion for the work of the Beatles that is unparalleled

Good list again John. I'm sure I read somewhere that Jeff did co-produce 'Poor Little Girl', though I have no idea why he wouldn't have got a credit. His production sound on it is unmistakable I think.

Your doing a great job with this list of songs. And I especially like when you pick a song I haven't listened to in a long while. Looking forward to the next video in this series. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you John. Love your videos. Don’t think I could assemble a top 100 and glad you did. It was a great watch. Agree that one’s list needn’t match anyone else’s. The catalogues are extensive with numerous factors which weigh on what we like or don’t. It’s just not important if a song someone else likes is missing, or hates and was in. It’s your list and I always learn something new from you.

Enjoy hearing your selections. John did have a child of his own when he wrote "Mother". Poor Julian seems to get forgotten way too often. I love a lot of his songs. "infinitely superior"... That's a LOT of superior. ; ) "Sorry if you didn't agree". You made me laugh when you said that. Don't let people's criticisms of your selections bother you. It's absurd for anyone to think that your list should agree with theirs. There are songs on your list that would not make my top 200... and I'm sure you would feel the same about some of my choices.

Your mind has melded so thoroughly with the Beatles' that, just as John's mind was presumably trying its best to do, you'd forgotten that he'd already had a child by 1970. 🙃 Tracks that would make my own "Solo Beatles" list: "Too Many People," "Isolation," "Mrs. Vanderbilt," "#9 Dream," "Cafe on the Left Bank," "Mother," "Poor Little Girl," "Don't Let Me Wait Too Long."

Not going to argue with your choice of songs, which as you say is an entirely personal (and very good selection). Am upset though that this second selection went from 50-75 instead of 51-75, as it means that this second part has 26 songs, whereas the last part will only have 24 🤣

It’s not easy to present a monologue video. Not everybody can do it naturally, and you always do a great job. I find your videos relaxing to watch late at night. I now need to find the time to listen to all these Beatle tracks again!

Cool video once again ... I do like these type of lists as it prompts you to check out tracks for those "nuggets" that you missed ... previously I used your top 50 from McCartney post Beatles and now have both Beware My Love and Old Siam Sir regularly on my portable mp3 player ... all because of your subjective wise counsel .... cheers, CMcG, Aberdeen, Scotland

There is definitely no need to defend the songs/choices you make for those people. Whatever is wrong with them cant be fixed by reasonably explaining yourself to them anyway. Just do your thing. The important people here that are SANE, dont need you to qualify yourself or explain such obvious things.

When people complain on his live albums video that he didn't include Deep Purple: Made In Japan, do some people maybe consider that he may not be a fan of Deep Purple? Nothing wrong with that if its the case...

i appreciate you defending "some time in new york city" elsewhere (as i begin watching this). the notion that these guys are to be attacked for not delivering a masterpiece every 9 months or no fewer than half a dozen tracks that are beloved every year is ridiculous. after a decade of pumping songs out, john had a right to fail with his new collaborator...que pasa, ny!

Sad that you have to point out the obvious to people about subjectivity. Hard to understand what makes people believe that your preferences are of particular value or significance. That said, this list is a disgrace! (just kidding) 😉
