If your vet tells you to give your horse Tylenol daily, find a new vet.

🤣🤣🤣 why is that? It was recommended by two vets, who I know are highly qualified. He has DSLD. It is often prescribed alongside equioxx, because it’s a mild NSAID. I would NEVER administer it without vet permission. Additionally, I would also never give my horse something I was personally uncomfortable with. He just recently had blood taken and all of his kidney and liver values were healthy. I would not condone anyone to give it to their horse without a qualified veterinarian’s discretion. However in Deuce’s case, this is just a part of managing his disease, and it has helped him a lot. A lot of horses with DSLD/DJD rely on NSAIDs for comfort and maintaining quality of life.

@@OliveDeuce Is it necessary to give horse salt with iodine or it can be given salt without iodine?
