You made me cry Pete because I felt with ever ounce of my being how much you truly enjoyed that experience. Shout out to the zoo staff handlers etc that helped make this possible for you to experience the zoo… sighted or not this experience left you seeing the animals. As you went down zip line thought I saw a hot air balloon in background! That’s a wild experience 😉 Side note about the LARGE snake you were brave enough to hang out around: . I have a picture of my father in Vietnam with a giant snake wrapped around him and two others holding it up. It was the medics snake that would curl up in/around his cot at night for warmth (my father found this out the hard way when finding empty rack to sleep in one night!) he had to get a picture. They kept the snake around to fend off the large rats. Not many dogs around then in Vietnam to ward off rats. Steve would know what to do.

I know a man in Las Vegas that is certified to raise orphaned kangaroo babies and brought one to me to meet. He was so ti y at thaat time that he carried him in a knit cap lined in plush. He was so soft and he was a white kangaroo which is very rare so I felt very special to be able to meet this little guy. As he grew my friend kept including me so I got to watch him growing up. Of course as he started getting too big to bring into my workplace I got to see pictures instead but I will always remember how special it was. You are fortunate to be able to experience all of these animals. You get to "see" them in a unique way. Enjoy these moments in your life as they are very special. Please heal from your injury as I miss watching you surf as I'm sure you miss surfing. Luv ya handsome man❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

"The strangest thing I've ever felt" is a darn good description of constrictor snakes. I get to work with small ones at my job at a pet store, and the feeling of their stretchy but not loose skin and the whole tube of muscle, to how you can feel them using their scutes (belly scales) to inch along... it's unlike almost anything else. And handling constrictors is totally different from non-constrictors. A corn or kingsnake feels totally different from a much heavier ball python. It's definitely super weird, especially at first, but totally addicting. The only thing that I've felt which was weirder was one of my aquatic snails that was the size of a golf ball. Like a tongue wearing a clamshell. The strength and manner with which it moved was completely alien. Great video, man.

I just closed my eyes and imagined what it would be like to walk down a steep staircase as a blind person......(& 5:37min in) I wonder if it would help to have some kind of tactile bump (like brail) on the handrail at the same plumb line as the drop of each stair so they could feel it with their hand before they step down or up...? Wonder if that would make it less dangerous on stairs?
