I’m applying to LSE Geography for 2023. Do you know if lectures are completely in-person now or if they’re also recorded? Also, what are the contact hours like in first year?

Hi Ryan, at the moment some lectures are still recording their in-person lectures but most of them are only offered in-person so you have to go. In first year most students will have 5 hours of lectures and 5 hours of classes a week. Hope this helps & feel free to DM me on Instagram with any further questions!!

Why did you choose to stay with your family? And is the commute annoying compared to living in the center like last year?

The London property market has gone mad this year - if I lived out in a student house/ private accommodation I would be paying at least £200 a month for a small room and probably have to pay to travel to uni on top of that. There weren't very many rooms available in student halls (and those that were were mainly sharing rooms) and to be honest after doing that for a couple of years I was ready for my own space! So I decided to move back home and just commute because it's cheaper. I also really enjoy cycling and running and it's much easier to do both of those back home because it's pretty dangerous cycling in London and I didn't always feel 100% safe running at night. The commute is slightly annoying, especially when I have to leave at 7am for a 9am class but I actually quite enjoy the time to myself most of the time. I'm only in 3 days a week at the moment so it's okay, and I can go to bed much earlier than when I was in London because it's sooo much quieter at home.

If only it was £200 a month!!! I mean £200 a week plus bills. Most of my friends are paying about £270 a week (so over £1000 a month plus bills) with at least a 30 minute commute into campus each way.

Geography, now that's what I'm talking about! An interesting subject indeed. Well, if one is considering one's current location that is 🌎✨? “I seek a place that can never be destroyed, one that is pure, and that fadeth not away, and it is laid up in heaven, and safe there, to be given, at the time appointed, to them that seek it with all their heart. Read it so, if you will, in my book.” ― John Bunyan, The Pilgrim's Progress Jesus Is alive!!! ⛪💕🏃♂💨🌍
