@@HenryWaltonJones Buddy I'm a classically trained musician so I have an ear and talent for music. This song is very simplistic and not hard to sing. It's garbage. But it has a dance beat that stirs people. No I don't have any songs on youtube because I don't sing, nor even play much anymore. That doesn't discount my knowledge of music though. The song musically is lacking. Sorry if I triggered you, but deal with it. Most intelligent musicians will agree with me

@@joeheid4757 I totally agree with you, but you see, most of these 80s songs are like that, they are simple, catchy and you instantly get the dancing vibe, you are instantly waitint for that beat to come :D Don't try to turn these artists to a music geniuses like Mozart or Bach lmao.. What is really sad, that I don't see a better music now than from 80s 70s or 90s.. The cool thing about the Pet Shop Boys is that the lead singer is Neil Tennant and he was a music reviewer when he started this band, so he came into music with this critical eye and an aficionado's perspective, and their stuff is amazingly unique and inspired a lot of other people in the years to follow. A truly amazing song by them is WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS where they get an assist from the legendary Dusty Springfield (her song Son of a Preacher Man is a MUST). But there's a lot of good Pet Shop Boys! Opportunities is a favourite of mine and so is It's a Sin. And yeah, that's London, England in the UK. Someone made a quick reference, but yes, the West End girls would be rich, beautiful women from high-end of society life. The East Side boys would be thugs and ruffians, poor blokes who are outclassed by the women, but the women like to slum it up with the bad boys, basically, is the song. They'll just never keep the poor boys, they're like tourists trying out a lifestyle for kicks then going back to their wealthy lives.

Neil Tennant sings in a very droll way but the words are always important to listen to.

Lovely reaction, my friend. I was 67 in London yesterday and you are going to make me shed a tear for my beloved South East London/Kent. That was filmed in Waterloo Station where I shall be this weekend and that Number 42 Bus was one of 34 different Bus routes within 2 miles of my former home just 2 miles from there and Central London. In 1983 just 38 years ago I moved 10 miles to the very edge of S E London and Kent and it has been fantastic as it's so near to the Countryside and 1/2 mile from a London postal district. This depicts when East End working-class Boys used to meet at weekends with classy West End Girls, usually from West or South West London :)

These days that's all gone due to gradually shorter and shorter attention pan of the listener. Now vocals come on right away and there's rarely any musical bridge in pop music.
