Older American here. You looked pretty comfortable on a horse. Had you ridden a horse before? I would have liked to have heard, in greater depth, more about the whole trail ride experience. When I was in my teens, over 57+ years ago [mid 60,s, early 70's], I spent many summers working at camps & stables & giving tourists & summer camp kids trail rides in the Adirondack mountains, in the north east US. Back then you got a one plus hour trail ride for $5.00. I have vivid memories of the saddle creaking, the smell of the horse, the smell of the vegetation, the sound of the hooves striking the ground, watching the horse's ears & eyes move & the serine rhythmic motion of the horses body, & how their head/neck bobbed & swayed as they walked. I also remember observing how the tourists & kids became immersed, sometimes overwhelmed, by the whole horse-human-nature experience. It was magical to see their reactions as they tried to process the experience. Of course it was also quite amusing to watch the people try & walk after their first trail ride. PS: Back east, the dear flies & mosquitos could be absolutely awful. Better & simpler times. Very moving video. Please keep trying to communicate your emotional reactions to your experiences while they are still fresh in your mind. Thank you.

Bonjour Marie! I love that you;re able to have the doggos with you for much of your adventures. Just makes everything even better. Amazing scenery and what a very calm horse! I had to laugh though because before your hike the sign suggested to wear light colored clothing and you were wearing a black shirt and a black hat. I don't even own any black clothes because I can't stand how much they attract heat! Thanks for sharing with us! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed

It's awesome that you got to see so much of the desert both on foot and on horseback. The shot of you standing under that enormous boulder instantly had me thinking that you wish you could take it back home to your parent's house. "But, I only brought back ONE rock!" 😂😂 It really is great that you're experiencing so many amazing things there in Arizona. If you don't do a Grand Canyon rafting trip on this trip you'll have to reserve your spot on one the next time you come out. It'll be the most amazing experience you'll have. Keep up the great work Marie, and keep smiling!

Yee haw!!! Giddy on up Cowgal Marie riding the range in the big country 🤠🌵 🐎 Trailing along with you just keeps on getting more enjoyable every week. Picking spring to visit has really payed off , it's so Beautiful with its yellow flowers blooming everywhere, the views feel so cinematic that you have to pinch yourself that it's real, the hillside rocks reminded me of those western shoot outs , the large boulder what a cool spot for keeping out the blazing heat, I like how the sun casts shadows over the valley, the landscape awesome it gives you that thirst for adventure. It's a kind gesture to leave a gem necklace behind sending out positive vibes for the den, you can always get another birthday one like Topaz symbolising love & strength, mine happens to be Turquoise , I will check out more about the cave. On a finishing note I'm happy at long last you'll saddled up , the horse was cute pricking up it's ears whenever you spoke, your a natural at it lighting up with joy , so unforgettable with setting sun , it's like a piece of heaven out there. Thanks again french fry, it really means a lot what you do for all of us. Have a blessed Sunday 🤗🧡🐶🌻✌️

Hello French Tastic, I'm glad that you have chosen to visit Apacheria. Beware the three Cholla Cactuses. Did you know the Saguaro Cactus grows it's first arm at seventy years of age. The Saguaro with multiple arms can be hundreds of years old. They see you pass by.
@kylesummers1565
Жыл бұрын
Yes, avoid the cholla cacti. They can be a major issue for dogs and other animals that think they can just jump over things. The "branches" will break off if they get a good hold in an "armpit/legpit" or anything like that. Also be careful about placing your hands in small crevasses (scorpions/centipedes). Peace, Love!!

Hi there Marie!!! 🤗 WOW, what a wonderful day you had, starting with those bagels 😉, and you drove too, on this beautiful sunny, blue sky day 😎🌞. As always, watch for the rattlers in the Western deserts 🐍! You were going through such pretty rolling green hills and the stony mountains too. That building was almost pure stone, and the maps show so may trails to choose from - that seems like an amazing place Marie ⛰. I am happy you found such pretty flowers along the trail, and that cactus with the white all over was cool (also the one with the red flower on top)! You even passed one with almost a heart-shaped green cactus. The view is reminding me of near my El Paso home. Those dogs were ready for excitement and a hike - FUN to have them along! I really love your shirt and hat for that hike 🤗. Oh my, and that field of yellow flowers amidst the green near Prarie Falcon Overlook was gorgeous! Also, I remember those Arizona stone mountains with such smooth but huge boulders 😍😲. So a 4-mile round trip is a pretty good hike, when climbing 1,300 feet! You found plenty of Saguaro up there too. Those two giant smooth boulders seemed to be leaning toward each other (where you took that nice shot of you almost "under" one of them)! The passes through the rocks allowed for really lovely views. So this was near Scottsdale at a 3,819-foot elevation - nice!! And that tall stone peak at the top is impressive, standing there all alone! Marie, you could almost see forever up at the top from your outlook 😲😲! (Cute when the big dog met your little one 🤗🤗🐶) I loved the Ogre's Den, and you left that lovely anethyst necklace and sweet note (I love AZ) 😘! You had a nice shot there when you pointed the camera through that opening peering from inside the cave, wow - you really looked so cute smiling there with the dog on your lap 🥰. I like your pose on top of that lone boulder (it is like "Rocky pose" (arms up in muscle position😃💪) in the movie of that same name. Goodness gracious, you were higher than that helicopter you saw flying by the mountain! Marie, I just also have to say how much I always enjoy your really wonderful choice of music all through your video - mathing the scenes so very well 😘😍 - and it is always so catchy and fun! I especially liked that one near the end with all the whistling - perfect!!! Your drive to the horseback ride showed the perennial desert bikers you see all over Arizona. And there were sooooo many horses, along with boots and hats at that Cave Creek Trail Ride place - WOW 👢! Your horse looks like a palomino coloring, like a big horse I rode in a rodeo when I was 4 years ole 😲😲🐴. YAY, your perfect cowgirl hat for your ride - it looks so good on you! I loved your answer to that guy's question - "the beauty of this country" 🤗. The ride was amazing, and yes, you chose perfectly when you opted for the Sunset Ride!!! It was sure dark at the trail's end. Thank you so very much, Marie, for taking us with you on thie amazing, beautiful, and fun day hike and horse ride 🤗😎💕!! Please take care Marie 🥰🥰❣

Great video, Marie. You are a natural cowgirl. Back in the day of the old west, there were alot of French cowboys, trappers, frontiersman and trail blazers. Still, alot of today's cowboys and cowgirls have French names. The one I remember best and most was Chris LeDeux. He was a rodeo cowboy and famous western singer. Unfortunately, Chris died several years ago of cancer. I recommend you listening and watching his music and videos on KZitem. See you next time. God bless. Bill
