I was born in Montreal. Lived nearly all my life there. I speak several languages and moved to Quebec for retirement. In my opinion Quebec city is a precious gem of the French culture in North America.

I really enjoyed my time in Quebec City. Love the French influence and the whole city and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. I did not go to the island so did not get to see the chocolatier. But I was absolutely blown away by a chocolatier I found in Montreal - these places are magic. Quebec province is my favourite in Canada. The French influence a really wonderful aspect of North America.

I was born in Westmont, the Anglophone quarter of Montreal! Quebec is like little France, the atmosphere, the language and culture leaves one with an indelible impression! What I fell in love with is the hot mess that’s made the province famous, poutine. For me, the mix of french fries, brown gravy and fresh cheese curds is the ultimate Canadian comfort food! Its a taste of home. Chevrolet for its part was considerate in inviting you to test drive their new Trax. You’ve never looked happier taking a vacation away from your globe-trotting travels and you’re not one to force yourself to stay home when wanderlust calls you! I will concede its not Paris but there are worse places you could visit and the Charlevoix region was absolutely serene! Thanks for the video and I’m looking forward to more Quebec content in the future.

Charlevoix region is well know for food, whale watching ( 13 species of whales and the largest ) inculding Beluga and the unique Fjord of Saguenay . You way stay at an AUberge ( small family hotel , best food ) or Manoir Charlevoix ( Castle) .... Baie St Paul is all about art galleries and food... Ile aux Coudres is beautiful ... major ski stations as well in winter . Charlevoix has the largest estuary in the world for whale watching from Tadoussac ..

Hello , Alina What a great video. Want to mention that I spent a lot time driving back and forth to Montreal and Quebec City from Boston (during my college years) I had a long-distance relationship with a gal who was from Montreal and went to school at McGill Unversity . The quaint little shops in Old Town Quebec City and the historic Fairmount Le Chateau Frontenac are must dos. The winter months are celebrated with Ice Hotels and Sculptures. My girlfriend and I would enjoy our walks in Charlevoix. Simply Beautiful. Harriet and I were there as well. We hope to go there soon. Repere Boreal sounds like a great place to rest and relax. Both of us can you use it right now. Hope you're doing well. 🙏 Sending you much love and affection from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki ❤❤❤

Hi Alina! it's great to see you having a wonderful time in my home province, Québec! Our capital, Québec City, established in 1608, is among the first cities established by European settlers in North America! My hometown, Montréal, is relatively younger - founded in 1642, just 381 years ago. I know that you will have an amazing time exploring and discovering Québec City and Montréal! And you're going to make me miss my beautiful homeland region in a big way. I'm very much looking forward to your next videos, Alina!

A long time ago, I suppose from the 1940s-1970s, the spokeswoman for Chevrolet was Dinah Shore. Her parents fled Western Russia for the USA during the Russian Civil War and she got involved involved in the country music scene in Nashville as a teenager growing up in Tennessee! Her signature song in Chevy commercials was "See the USA in your Chevrolet". It is interesting that you were born in the Ukrainian SSR and now you are representing Chevy. If they have beignets in Quebec, try them! The place to get them in New Orleans is Cafe Du Monde, famous place! I bet Quebec has them too! 🙂🇺🇸🇺🇦🇨🇦

Hello Alina McLeod, yes the region of Charlevoix, often people from Quebec city and around the region go often to the famous Charlevoix region for nature and local products. 1st) When you go to the Ile d'Orléans chocolate store, i've been there and yes it was a delightful moment :) 2nd) Not go to the place that you where sleeping or massage, but it was a great picks, I've got to others places, but the food and care (spa & massage) are really great outhere. 3rd) The meals that you've shown in your video, is usually what we saw, quite often in Quebec/Charlevoix style, but it always pretty good/great to eat it and surely for you too. I'm happy that overall you liked Montréal/Québec/Charlevoix region Alina. Enjoy and have a beautiful day :)

Well, buying and driving Chevy's for years got me nothing. So yes, you are living in a fairy tale. I really really like Quebec City and Montreal is a mix of new and old. I've ski'd in Quebec but that's been my experience in the rural area of the province. I did drive from Ottawa to Montreal but never left the highway so don't count it. Nothing is better than being in a hot tube as the snow falls depending on the time it takes the getting in and out of the hot tube, and back indoors in winter is an adventure. You might even say at -20 to -40 Celsius it's kind of chill. Looking forward to more of your Quebec content.

Oh my part of a trip that my wife and I have dreamed of taking! The other part is into Laborador and then see Gras Morain. Yes, to Quebec City! Never knew that it had a little under 1 million people. The hotel sounded great and of interest to us. The Trax is a SUV that has interested me as well as Honda's CRV. ( I have to put something good in here about Honda). It has gotten a bad report about the 1.8 L Ecotech engine but ironically I am drive a similar sized Chevy with a an Ecotech engine in it. If you change the oil regularly ( hint ask your mechanic when you change your oil don't go by the manual) , use a high quality oil ( Mobile 1 Full Sythetic or Penzol Platinium Full Sythetic or equal), and change your timing belt out at 80,000 miles ( instead of the manual suggested 100,000 miles) the car doesn't seem to experience any engine problems, as my consumer agencies are reporting. I also change the transmission oil out at 35,000 miles and have my mechanic fill and drain the transmission 3 times. ( you can not economically change the filter in my transmission and in many newer cars and SUV's they don't have a transmission oil filter) I am getting up to almost 37 mpg (15.73 km/l) in most of my open road driving in warm or hot weather. ( I.e. summer time) I have close to 100,000 miles on my car with no apparent problems. It appears that the biggest problem with the EcoTech engine is the vehicles manual. Anyhow perhaps that will help Chevy out a little with that problem. You missed many of the historical sites & buildings in Quebec City. Quebec City appears to have more tourist appeal than Montreal in my and my wife's opinion so lets see if Alina can prove us wrong. ( to convert to km's multiply the miles by 1.609)

Coming up to bedtime, long day, as skates are coming off us Dads said to each other ‘…I’ll come back oat … me, too … sure thing once they’re asleep…’ Aboat eight of us laced up later on and played till after midnight.
