Hopefully, you'll visit our tourist capital Livingstone next time. And the locals there widely speak SiLozi, which is a language very similar to many languages from Botswana and NW South Africa. They speak it in Kazungula too, which you passed through. But mainly in the Western province of Zambia.

Oh yes, I was told Lozi is very similar to Setswana😍. Amazing stuff.

I was in Lusaka and Vic Falls, Zim. Is there any other attraction than the vic falls in Livingstone?
@user-vw6bk4pb4l
Жыл бұрын
@@NamibianKZitemChannel Honestly, Victoria falls is the biggest attraction there by far, but Livingstone is the tourist capital of Zambia so there is plenty of other things to do mainly safari/wildlife(game reserve, Zambezi boat cruise, crocodile farm etc.), nature (Zambezi gorge, hiking etc.) and cultural (traditional restaurants, museums, villages). Different business offer their own unique experiences.

8:44 bruh 😑 sorry about that. They should've given you your own plate and I'm surprised they didnt. In Zambia usually that type of communal share eating really depends on the household, not everyone does it like that...though it's more common in rural areas.

Actually, on another table I saw other people doing the very same thing- sharing a plate. So I’m told it’s a cultural thing. It’s not a bad thing. I’m actually amused at all these cultural traits and nuances. I love seeing it all❤️

A Lozi person here we call vegetables muloho. Having travelled across Zambia, I can confidently say that not every Zambian eats their food from the same plate that others share. It depends on the household one visits and it is not practiced much nowadays. I know it happens and I think it is fun to try at least once when one is young, but I have never experienced that.

She seems to have had plenty of nshima from local restaurants. As a local, I've never eaten any cooked food from the markets in Lusaka, except for chips, samosa, fritas and shawarma, due to our poor hygiene issues. Is it really recommended?
