This video shows the progression of my channel's first year. I raise a glass to each and everyone of you! Thank you for the views, comments, shares, and likes from 2023! I hope to continue growing this community to be bigger and better throughout 2024! helping to teach, and deliver the best woodworking content I can. Thanks again! Ohh, and the board has decided to keep the Nail Counter on our payroll; even if he did "fib" on his resume. *wink*.

before 2023 comes to an end, lets look back on the year by watching a few highlighted reels from a few of my favorite builds. And, we even have a special guest appearance! this first video never made it to publication, where I reviewed a wood burner stamper. this is the first EVER WhosTheVoss video, shot from a cell phone. Let's take a look!
(video - first one)
oooff. long before I started wearing only blue. clearly not a shower day.. no mic, no additional lighting. not even in 4k. what a mess.
but you have to start somewhere right. much like pancakes and kids; the first one is a throw away.
next up, SawStop Unpluged. thats right. a hand saw much like the big tablesaw we all drool for. mine is now a big butter knife because I used it to cut my carbon fiber stem on my bike..
(video -sawstop)
but put it to the hotdog test, and it really puts the fake in sa-fake-ty.
then I upgraded my router and decided to tell you guys about it. top moment from this video was showing off the LCD screen.
(video - skil router)
i tried downloading some bobs burgers when routing but i could never hear what they were saying..
then the video that carried the channel came out, talking about router bits and the templates available to make repeatable projects.
(video - router template)
5 months later and it is still performing quite well.. then I added some app controlled lighting to the garage.
(video - lighting)
after that this little film making issue called GAS bit me on the assssbestos. and I made a cool holder for all my gear.
(video - keyboard production)
i would have laid it here in front of me today, but a month after making it I bought a second camera and it only held one..so to the trash it went.. guys, I just got confirmation that our special guest is here... please help me welcome, the Nail Counter!
welcome. how are you? (great) did you bring the kids along with you? (no) are your answers always going to be short because of how small your text box is? (11) okayyyy.
the first debut of the nail counter is featured in this next video, another top performer for the channel: the three picket planter.
(video - 3 picket planter)
were you nervous being on camera for the first time? (when do i get paid) always great to have you here in the woodshop NC.
as I looked and looked and looked and looked some more for a vacuum adapter, I decided to make one, from an item purchased at any store..
(video - vacuum adapter)
after the big planter box rush, a guy asked me to make him a shed..which I took the 8 hours of footage to a manageable size. (video - shed) however, I moved it all to a solid state drive before our vacation and apparently I deleted the roof footage soooooo that was a good time.
with the shed out of the way, I tackled making my flip carts, which was a long time coming.
(video - flip cart)(singing)
i cleaned my shop blades..something we should all be doing regularly.
(video - saw maintenance)
i installed the sky camera, so I didn't have to set up tripods each time. hey, youre in this clip NC!
(video - cedar tree)
this next popular video, i sprinkled in a little hole saw music, a little ironic because it didnt feature the hole saw.
(video - nesting tree)
I built a sled, which i did in fact ride.
(video - sled)
then the Christmas music got a little out of hand.
(video - tree)
i did end up taking those trees and drilling out a hole for candy canes, if you guys missed that..
and finally, the puzzle piece picture frames. each video brought a little improvement to where we are today. just look at the first video compared to this one.
and not once did I EVER play you a full-volume shop machine. ughhh thats my biggest pet peev when browsing youtube. when I was shopping for my planer I clicked on a video, and BAM it was full - volume planer. it sounded like this and Im not adjusting it so you can experience what I went through (planer sound)
whats coming in 2024? bigger and better things of course. a big thank you to you guys, for the support and getting me to come out to the garage. Happy New
