You are advancing VERY quickly in your sewing skills. You're like my mom & sister---natural talent. I had to work hard to gain my skills. Those do not look like beginner garments to me. You made pants. Pants!!! You should feel very proud of yourself. That white shirt was cute too. I didn't see the miss part. Looking forward to more makes videos.

CSmith 4029 Awww, thanks! I'm trying, lol. Well my mom sewed and crocheted. She taught me basics when I was young. I only started garment sewing last year. I don't think I've ever really sewn anything though since I was a kid. My misses were I either didn't finish them and/or the fit was off, lol.

ADRIANN join the club, I don’t finish my sewing projects either. But, now I’m making myself finish my work. I have unfinished skirts that are now to small for me. So I have to put extra fabric pieces in the makings of the skirt. You’re doing good sewing. Keep up the good work. 😃👍🏾

I really enjoyed your video! Your makes are very nice, I've been sewing for years and haven't made pants yet and you've made a few pairs. If you can get the fitting right on those you're doing really good, I love the white blouse you said you didn't like, it's really cute! Looking forward to more videos from you, be blessed!

lol I can relate to marks left on my fabrics. I bought an invisible pen this week but cannot find it so my 7577 will have ink pen markings. I followed you via IG based on that red suit w the ruffles. Looking forward to your growth!

I also made the CR blue dress, I was inspired to make it while watching that terrible show Southern Charm the character Landon is wearing it. I loved it so much on her I started googling the dress she was wearing and it was CR but had a pattern. I have to agree I think it's more flattering on thin people since it's so goofy it adds two sizes. But I love it and i've gotten a lot of complements on the dress. My only problem is the sleeves come up I don't know if that means the elastic is too long or too short.

Susan Emberley Not sure what you mean by the sleeves come up. Yeah, it's so big, lol. A woman in my FB group made one but did the romper version with a knit. It's really cute! Made me want to try it again.

ADRIANN. Your jackets are big on a pattern because it allows room for sweaters to wear underneath. So go to a smaller size if you want it fitted.

I'm working on a couple of coat patterns right now and just realized I need to pick the pattern size that fits around my hips, as well. I had to take one out a little but I made it work. Thanks😉

I did Mimi g sport leggings with the overlay.....I have all her patterns I think .... I have been sewing for a while but just dabbling here and there in easy garment sewing.....first time sewing with a commercial pattern....so glad she has tutorials because the directions confuse the heck out of me..... can't get my size right...... I have big boobs and a baby pooch..... so very difficult to figure out the sizing......show the misses!!!! It will be fun:)

AdriaCanSew my leggings turned out really cute..... cut the wrong size of coarse so it was a little big in the crotch area and a little too big in the waist. I will wear them though because no one notices the little stuff but me...you can't really see the crotchety area because of the overlay and I will wear it with a shirt No wearing mine with a sports bra.... hahaha!

I find hems much easier to do than pockets and zippers! Idk how pants are so easy for you. I have the 5908 pants and I am struggling with the zipper and pockets! 😩 I need help!

Well give me the secret! Pants just seem to come along for me,lol. Those red ones were a little tight in the waist. I need to let them out a little or something. The pockets are different but once you get it you'll be like, "Ohhhh". Lol. Zipper gets easier each time you do it. Look up some tutorials here. That's what I do.

AdriaCanSew yea all I've been doing lately is watching youtube videos like crazy. But there doesn't seem to be any videos that can specifically show me how to do them. I guess cuz i need to be more up close. But hemming is really just folding the edge off twice and then pinning it down. You can do a section at a time to make it easier.

Marsha Ann Keep looking because I found some here that helped me. I didn't save them so I can't say which ones. I still search for a video if it doesn't come out right. I'm about to do one again for the pattern I'm working on now. Just got to go slow. Take it out and start over until you get it. It's a pain. Lol. I'll keep working on my hemming.

Hi Just found your video, I started sewing ( again) last year and you are killing it !! lol I still wouldn't attempt trousers. I have the MimiG pattern and want to make the longline cardigan I am only 5ft !in so will have to shorten it A LOT !! lol Di you use a knit or a woven for it ? I hadn't thought to make it in a woven. Will go and subscribe and check out your channel. Nice to meet you :)

Hey Thanks! You know everyone says that about pants but that's been the easiest for me so far. You should just give it a try! You might be surprised at how they turn out. The Mimi G pattern I used a woven. I was bad at noting what type of fabric I purchased, so I've had to go back into the store and find out so I know how to wash and care for it. Live and learn, lol. I wanted to make a version I could wear to work since I work in an office. I definitely plan to make more though. Thanks for your subscription and watching!
