I remember in 1983 the only way to board and deboard at John Wayne, or Orange County, or Santa Anna, it's all the same airport, was by stairs that they rolled up to the plane. You would then walk across the tarmac to the building. It's a great airport.

If you're going to be in Tacoma with a car, you could drive across the Narrows Bridge, keep heading north on the 3 til you get to Poulsbo, then take the 305 to Bainbridge Island. Cute walkable downtown (coffee at Blackbird Bakery, lunch at the Harbour Public House or Doc's Marina Grill) and you can drive onto the ferry back into Seattle-thirty-five-minute crossing with a beautiful approach across the Puget Sound to the Seattle skyline.

Hi Adam, I moved to the PNW about 10 months ago. I have been to the Flight Museum in Seattle three time already lol. You would love it. You get to actually walk around inside old airplanes including air force one. I have also visited Astoria, OR a few times, totally drivable from Seattle area. Tons and Tons of filming locations there as you probably know, including Goonies.

On those air buses, they have throttle detents. They have 3, TOGA, Flex TO, and CL or climb. During take off it’s usually set to Flex TO and then as it’s gear comes up, the pilots move the throttle to CL. So that’s also likely what you’re hearing when the engine throttles down slightly is the Detent being moved one click. It’s actually a very interesting throttle quadrant.

I'm bemused and amused watching this 39 minute clip. I have flown to Seattle many times. I'm captured how Adam involves you into his travel adventures as if you're actually sitting there with him, or walking, during his adventures. The curiosity with the shots out the window of the plane, although seemingly not an interesting thing to view, I find it shares my own curiosity, as if I was there. That's what makes you good Adam! You've inspired me to find ways to do quality travel videos.
