@@Frankenzebra house boat kitchens are better! They are small on purpose and include fix+fits made for small spaces, our house kitchens have standard cupboards and appliances in them that don't actually fit, lol! Last place I had did not have space for the kitchen door, also I don't think you could open the oven when someone was in the bathroom either. But yh, for her level of art she needs more kitchen space, I am amazed she has managed so much in that, admittedly adorable, space.
@felicitygee381
4 жыл бұрын
@Michele no worries, it was kinda true and it is very funny. So, yes, our kitchens often have doors, but the door was removed because it couldn't have opened. The door to the bathroom on the other wall only opened part way because the kitchen counter was in the way (cut at an angle to allow door to open). The oven door opened across that entrance/exit space, so anyone in the bathroom could not get out if oven was open. It was just a really bad landlord fix up cheap job, but.... My heart breaks and my head still in disbelief knowing that when my grandmother passed most of her belongings that she kept all those years could have been so loved by someone like you. Instead my brother (his wife actually) went through the home and selected everything she wanted and then boxed everything else up and out in the driveway for a middle of the week garage sale for 3 hours and what wasn’t purchased was thrown away or dropped off at goodwill. I’m over the fact that I wasn’t contacted to collect anything to have something to hold memories I can be reminded of often but knowing there are people out there who would love and cherish the items and things my grandmother loved, cherish and took good care of for most of her life that she had them till the end….only to be tossed out like garbage. It was heartbreaking. Looking at your home walkthrough gave me moments of good memories I haven’t thought of for years and some I had forgotten all together and it felt really good to remember them so thank you for that.

Same, but it wasn't any of my family members. My grandmother lived in a sort of apartment complex specifically for elders who are still independent enough to not need to go to a Home, but who's children are worried about their safety. Before the symptoms of Alzheimers were more obvious, my grandmother's neighbors took advantage of that and would steal things from her, knowing that she wouldn't remember. When confronted, they would be like "But she gave it to me! Right, Ramona?" My mother managed to get some stuff back after threatening to have security go through their apartments, but unfortunately some stuff had been given away to grandchildren who lived out of state and would have required a long and pricy legal battle.

More fridges need the lazy Susan feature, stuff always gets forgotten in the back, and that would fix it! Also, I WISH I had her creativity. She makes me want to make things, but as soon as I sit down to design or create something, my brain goes blank. I am in awe at her mind
