Why I was trying to get Frieza to Level 100 even with how bad he is as a Raider ever since Season 4 is because he was already one of my main raiders in Season 2 & 3 as he was at that time the only decent raider at handling premades or super high level survivors in general due to his camping potential, relatively fast execution speed, and all his forms still being decent, but not overpowered. But of course, even he could get bullied as that was the case since Season 2. It's just that compared to other raiders at that time, Frieza could at least do more before dying. Plus, Frieza in his 2nd Form had an exploit to catch people using the infamous baby mode escape combo that is the Energy Field and Instant Transmission combo, which is by using his Explosive Wave (what I call the Giant Storm) Super at a specific timing which is difficult to do. Sadly, this exploit got patched out in Season. Lastly, I really do like Frieza as a character and is one of my favorite villains in the Dragon Ball franchise.
So why was Frieza a bad raider in Season 5?
1. Frieza is bad at handling more than one survivor since his kit isn't designed for that. It's especially true for his 1st & 3rd Form, with the latter also having almost zero AoE (area of effect) potential. Basically, Frieza is supposed to excel at 1v1 combat. However...
2. ...because Survivors continue to get more Active and Passive Skills over time including much better Transpheres compared to most introduced in Season 1 & 2, one of Frieza's defining strengths in excelling at 1v1 combat kinda goes out the window, especially if a survivor that has Unconscious Control or Trained By An Angel and has Orange Piccolo, Cell, or SSJ Kid Trunks for example as a Level 3/4 Transphere wishes for a Level 4 via Shenron.
3. Anytime Frieza gets a Dragon Ball from a Namekian civilian, he's already letting survivors know that he has one. And if the survivor team has decent coordination, they can get the Dragon Balls off of Frieza. And the survivor that takes the Dragon Balls off him can either use Jaco Ship or the Energy Field and Instant Transmission combo to escape from him. It's important to note that Frieza in his 2nd form can no longer catch EF & IT users with his Giant Storm Super as of Season 4 since this exploit got patched out. So now Frieza has no way to catch EF & IT users no matter what form Frieza is in. And yes, I already tried using his Break Strike Evasive at least once to stop Energy Field, and no it doesn't work unlike with Goku Black's Break Strike where it can actually push people using EF back.
4. Frieza by himself struggles to find survivors without a Dragon Ball Radar, though Dodoria and Zarbon, who are his two separate summons as his support, can often be decent at scouting the area they're sent to.
Even with some of the buffs Frieza got in Season 5 such as needing less civilians to evolve to Lv2 for example, none of these buffs address his actual problems. And that's why during Season 5, I always felt that Frieza was one of the worst raiders along with Vegeta and Ginyu Force. Possibly Broly too, but he's mostly held back by Super Transpheres existing. Cell, Buu, and Goku Black staying at Lv2 are the only raiders I feel that could handle premades or a bunch of super high level survivors in general better since they often can at least do more before dying. Cell has fast evolution speed and a good Lv4 form, Buu has Super Buu, who is still one of the best Lv3 forms in the entire game due to him having nearly every tool you could want in a Raider form, and Goku Black hardly even benefits from evolving to Level 3 since that's when Super Transpheres finally get handed to survivors and a Super Transphere Survivor that happens to either be really good or straight up annoying can at least stall Goku Black long enough for the Super Time Machine to activate.
Other Important Notes:
-This is the only Season 5 video I've made where the matches happened before the Season 5 Ranked Session.
-The reason for the survivor name I went with being Alice (Wrestler) instead of Vice (who is a KOF character I recreated on DB Breakers) is because Alice is a Dragon Ball Female Human OC of mine I originally planned on doing a video dedicated to her on DB Breakers, but never happened as I eventually did multiple Xenoverse 2 Solo PQ run videos as her.
