French Toast Recipe
For the batter ingredients
Banana 1 mashed
Eggs 2
Milk 1/2 cup
Sugar 4 tbsp
Vanilla extract 2 tsp
Cinnamon 2 tsp
Butter for frying
For stuffing
Bread slices 6 large
Nutella for spreading as needed
Peanut butter as needed
Instructions
1. Beat banana, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon and milk together .
2. Then add stuffed slices into the batter and dip it in from both sides.
3. Heat butter in a cast iron pan and place the slices. Then flip over and seal the corners. Let it cool down slightly and slice it.
Storage tip- you can store the French toast in the fridge for 2-3 days or keep it in the freezer in a ziplock bag.
Oatmeal Recipe (makes 4-5 servings)
Ingredients
Rolled oats 2 cups
Water 2 cups
Milk 2 cups
Dates (remove seeds) 4-5 chopped
Figs 4-5 chopped
Almonds (soaked overnight) 1/4 cup chopped
Cinnamon 2 tsp
Vanilla extract 2 tsp
Instructions
1. Add oats, water and milk in a pan and let it boil. Then add dates, figs, cinnamon and vanilla extract and mix it well.
2. Let it cook on a low heat until done. Garnish it with some fruits, nut butter, chocolate chips and maple syrup.
Storage tip- you can store the oatmeal in the fridge for 4-5 days.
Bread Machine Recipe (makes 2 small loaves)
Ingredients
Water 1/2 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Egg 1 large
Oil 3 tbsp
Butter 4 tbsp (cubed)
Sugar 4 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Milk powder 4 tbsp
Bread flour 2 cups
All purpose flour 1/3 cup + 1/4 cup
Yeast 1 tsp
Instructions
1. Add liquid ingredients first then add butter, salt, milk powder and sugar
2. Now add flour and put yeast on top. Start the leaven dough cycle in bread machine.
3. After that roll the dough and divide it into 2 loaves and place them in a separate bread pans.
4. Let the bread sit on the counter until doubled in size. Brush the top with egg wash and Then bake it at 350 f for 30-40 mins until top golden brown
Banana & Orange Muffin Recipe
Ingredients
Bananas 2 medium mashed
Orange juice 1 cup
Egg 2 large
Oil 1 cup
Sugar 1 cups
Sour cream or yogurt 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract 2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Baking powder 2 tsp
Baking soda 1 tsp
All purpose flour 2 cups 1/3 cup + 1/4 cup
Cereal 1 cup crushed
Instructions
1. Cream eggs, butter, oil and sugar together then add orange juice and vanilla extract to mix until creamy.
2. Now add all the dry ingredients and combine well. Let the batter rest for 5 mins then add crushed cereal and mix well.
3. Pour the batter in the muffin pan and bake at 400 f for 7 mins until rise then turn down to 350 for 10-12 mins until toothpick comes out clean.
Achar Chicken Recipe
Achari Masala
Dry roasted ingredients
Cumin seeds 2 tbsp
Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
Nigella seeds 1 tbsp (kalonji)
Powder ingredients
Red chili powder 2 tsp
Paprika or Kashmiri chili powder 1-2 tbsp for color
Turmeric 2 tsp
Salt as needed
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Roast all the dry spices first in a pan then crushed it and mix it all the powder spices and achari masala is ready.
Marinade ingredients
Chicken leg quarters 4 pounds
Achari masala (half)
Green chilies 4-5
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Oil as needed
Ginger/Garlic paste 2 tbsp each
Gravy ingredients
Onions 1 large or 2 medium
Tomatoes 3-4 chopped or paste
Cilantro for garnish
Lemon juice from 1 lemon
Instructions
1. Mix half spice masala, yogurt, ginger/garlic paste and oil in the chicken and fill the half masala in the green chilies and let it marinade for 1 hr.
2. Now heat oil in a pan fry chopped onion until golden brown. Now add marinated chicken and fry it. Let it cook until water evaporates.
3. Now add tomatoes and mix it well. Cover and cook it until chicken is tender.
4. Then you can add stuffed green chilies in the gravy and keep it on low flame and simmer it for 10 mins. Garnish it with cilantro and lemon juice.
Beef Pulao Recipe
Ingredients for stock
Beef bones 2 pounds
Beef meat stew 2 pounds
Onions 1/2 chopped
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
Black pepper whole 2 tsp
Cloves 2 tsp
Cinnamon sticks 1-2
Black cardamom 2 tsp
Green cardamom 2 tsp
Star anise 1
Bay leaves 1-2
Salt as needed
Put everything in a pot or instant pot and pressure cook it for 40 mins until beef is tender. Strain the stock and separate beef and bones.
For pulao
Seal rice 4 cups
Beef stock 6 cups
Beef bones and meat cooked
Onions 1 big chopped
Pulao masala 2-3 tbsp or as needed
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp each
Oil as needed
Instructions
1. Heat oil in a large pot. Add onion and fry until golden brown.
2. Now add whole garam masala beef bones, meat, ginger garlic paste, yogurt and sauté until oil comes out.
3. Add soaked rice, beef stock and cook it. Simmer the rice on low heat until soft.
