Let me know if this was helpful or what would you have packed differently?

Hi, do you have more information on your nakasendo hike? Is the majority of the trail still preserved or do you walk a lot on modern roads? Did you camp a lot? Thank you!

If you're planning to do the whole Nakasendo, days of walking through urban areas from Tokyo to Takasaki and another few days passing through Shiga and arriving in Kyoto. There's everything from a few faint remnants of the Nakasendo's history to museums to restored buildings and towns and even locals that I chatted to whose families lived in the same place along the Nakasendo since the old times. There are some modern roads to navigate but some towns have restored feudal lord lodgings (called Honjin), info about the town's history, etc. but it's all part of the journey. I think about 7 or 8 nights of 18 were camping. I'm in the process of making longer version KZitem videos now that will show you more detail of the actual walk. I'm almost finished with the first segment (Tokyo to Karuizawa). I'll try to get these done and posted ASAP. Let me know if you have any other questions.
