Nice a backpack is always a good thing. I use the ILBE rucksack and I can fit allot of stuff in it bought it for only 55$ instead of 230$. You can pick them up at you local Army Surplus store.

Sounds good! Going out this week. Hoping to get back down to that bend. As long as the current is not to powerful, I can.

I have a pair of pruning shears in my backback too. Great for cutting tree roots as well as triming branches and briars along the trail to the river. I also carry bug repellent. I attach my 5 gallon bucket to the back of my pack with a two ft. bungee strapped from one side of the pack to the other just under the lip on the bucket.

so many choices of AM sluices brother...which one to go with? been looking at them for awhile now here.... where on the appalachians are you located? I'm on franklin co. virginia here right now i'm on the fence with about 4 of his designs...top 2 being the Boss II and the Wedgie, fairly certain that his latest, according to his site...

This location is in the White Mountains in NH. I chose the Outback sluice for it's size, I wanted a backpack sluice and this is the larges of the Angus MacKirk backpack sluice boxes. It is pretty high production. AM has a lot to choose from small to commercial wash plant size. When you decide on which one to get let us know how it works.

Appalachian Prospectors Nice, been to the White Mtns., beautiful country up there...had to hike dang near top of one of the mountains after dogs & a bear they had treed...how's your AM sluice been producing for you? Shame there's hardly any on here showing some clean-outs after using them. There's really not that many AM sluice videos on here even, compared to all the others....which makes choosing even harder. we'll eventually make the plunge for one and likely post some footage so others can have more to go on when they may be setting there wondering, like I've been now for months....Lol Have a gr8 & productive 2017

In this video I just wanted to show how easy it is to set up and run, in 2017 I will make more videos of running it and the clean outs. I think that it does great I have captured some good gold with it since I have been using it, fine and coarse gold.
