I’m 4 months in and I’m really tired of the negative comments from family!

She looks great and is very well spoken. I'm 19 months in on my journey to natural hair and am not as gray as I expected. I'm salt and pepper with lots of really dark hair. I was hoping for nice silver streaks but I am still very happy with my decision and look forward to graying up over time.

I'm doing this method-almost 5 mos. in and loving it. I also have very dark hair and this method has really saved me a lot of stress. Like Diana, I did not want to bleach my dark dyed hair another color; it seemed to defeat the purpose. I've made it through spring, working through summer and look forward to continuing the process. Thanks so much! You all encourage me.

This was a pleasure to watch. Diana seems like a real sweetheart! I’m approaching the 6 month mark and I’m very excited to see how this will grow in. I have less gray than I thought, so I’m kicking myself for even coloring it in the first place! I haven’t been this preoccupied with my hair since high school! Also...I too have noticed new hair growth. At first I thought it was odd breakage, and my stylist corrected me. I feel lucky.

I’ve been dye-free for a little over two years. My hair is thicker and healthier-no more breakage or hair loss. My stylist even commented on how much quicker my hair dries and how soft it is now.

I’m letting my hair go gray....5 mos. in. I also had a burning sensation from the dye. I’m getting all good comments from my family and friends. I’m excited to see the final transformation.

Hi! I am reading the comments. And watching the video. And I too stopped the color dye in march. And omg i would have a burning sensation and my scalp would be so so dry and it would itch so so bad. All that stopped. I have trimmed it and I love the Grey and dark pepper look. It even soften my face. Anyway. Loved to read your experience. Take care and stay safe. God Bless.

I have been growing my grey out out for one year and 5 months & I have LOVED every second of the process!!! Everyone is different and has their own process, but I wanted my journey to be a wonderful experience of seeing the patterns of my natural color. I have another one year or longer to get my full length to where it is now. Thanks for sharing your experience.

And trying to steer you away from your choice to be natural is like saying "I'm not a fan of blue eyes. Have you thought about getting brown contacts? I'll pay for them if you can't afford them"

I'm entering my fourth month. I did this my first 2 and half months, and now I just show my greys. Lucky me, my husband doesn't feel bothered by it and says I remind him of Rogue from X-Men (I'm predominantly grey around my face). LOL

Having a supportive partner makes a huge difference! I have gotten emails from women whose husbands were downright mean about it (which is ridiculous!). Rogue from X-Men is super cool :-)

What happens to the dark strip when underneath it is all grown out? Aren't you still left with a thin layer of dark hair?

She mentioned that you would simply flip the hair to your grey side and it covers it up for the most part, and looks like low lights peeking through. Like her hair, you see a little brown peeking through.

I have read about the strip method, but I'm thinking about using demi-permanent color so that I can just let it wash out instead of flipping and growing out the other side. Has anyone tried this?

If it has the word “permanent “ in it, it’s not going to wash out easily. See the QuickSilverHair article about how dyes affect gray hair - she has some ideas about what you can use.

Curious if this would work with a center part.,….then switch to side part🤔

Hi, it really works best with a side part as you need the dyed strip to hang down over the gray.
