Sounds like a fun journey. Glad to hear Arthur healed quickly 🙏.

It was brilliant! Yes he did thankfully 🙏 ever since I'm always very vigilant with his harness!

Hi Ellen, Thanks for posting. This walk is on my to do list (whilst I’m still able). I want to do this with my dog Barkley (also a Springer!), so this is extra relevant! Looking forward to seeing part 2 (it’s nearly 3am so might do that tomorrow😅)

are dogs allowed in every campsite? or do you specifically have to look for dog friendly ones? I really want to do more hikes with my dogs but I feel it's difficult finding either dog friendly places to stay in because wildcamping is not allowed anywhere these days

I tried this about 2 years ago. My friend brought it dog which excited me because my girl is too old for that sort of journey now. But my friend refused to put the dog a lead which resulted in about 15 cows chasing us. I twisted my ankle throwing the dog over a gate to get away. Had to limp another 6 miles before deciding to give up :(
