Thank you for posting these. I have many pleasant memories of traveling on this line. It's interesting to see it again and see how much it's changed since 1992.

I first rode this line in 1972, on the Broadway Limited going to New York. I remember following the Susquehanna River for some time, then crossing it on the Rockville Bridge. We changed from the diesels to a GG-1 at the Harrisburg station. Wonderful memories! Thank you for posting the video.

This area does look like it is ready for high-speed rail. There are certain portions of this line between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh that are certainly ready for high-speed rail. They did talk about it, but they would first do the easier portion of the line between Philadelphia and Harrisburg because it is on smoother land and the lack of curvature on the line. They are nearing rail completion between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, such as the elimination of the three remaining railroad crossings. Now, they got to work on building and renovating stations. When that gets done, they can work on certain portions of the line between Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. I would say that the portion between Harrisburg to Lewistown would be the first portion of the line. Too, I thought that there would be an additional station in Duncannon or Marysville. Maybe they can put overhead wire between Harrisburg to Pittsburgh. People have been talking about it for close to 50 years already. Really, that dream should come true and not be forgotten by anyone.

Great view from the rear car. Very well done. Sad to see all the old PRR interlocking towers long gone though. For Amtrak you don’t seem to be moving very fast at the beginning. I also liked the color shift that occurred later in the video. Very well done 👍

Towers, and not the old PRRs signals that were removed in 2018 and 2019, the line has gotten very dull and boring.

From 11:00 to 14:40, does the Amtrak train always run on the same track when going west?

I didn't mean any criticism. Quite the contrary, I totally enjoyed the whole series. Thanks for posting it. I was just wondering what was making the noise. Was it wind around the vestibule doors, or some mechanical sound from the trucks? I noticed it would change suddenly at times.

I can tell this is an older line, because it hums along like that. I used to live in France, so I'm quite familiar with that sound. I sure do hope they build the new tracks, because much of our rail lines are in need of a major overhaul. I do miss those trains. We really need to abandon our cars once in a while and let someone else do the driving. I know the air is cleaner in Europe, because they use the trains so much more. It's certainly a nicer way to travel, because you get to know people. The more we do this and let go of our social meda for a wile, the better we'll begin to be able to show more consideration of others.

Grand video series, but what is that sound? It sounds like an old Pittsburgh streetcar (trolley). Were you filming from the back of an Amcoach?

I was in the vestibule of the rear car. So the sound isn't the best sadly. Nothing I can do about it.
