The only user fault I could possibly think of would be not idling it long enough before taking it out. It's a racing bike sot it probably needs to sit and warm up for 5 minutes every day before you take it out on the road. It's possible the compression/decompression of the line just loosened it and then the oil flow just popped it loose. I doubt that's the case though, this is 100% a QA issue on Honda's side. When you charge 30,000 for a high-tech track bike there's ZERO excuse for stuff like this. What if that had happened on a track? How many more Fireblades will this happen to? Is it enough to warrant a parts recall? Honda should have considered all of that before this thing touched showfloors.

Was it only me who was missing a part of the video where local fire department was called to clean up the oil spill? Or were you hoping that rain will take of it? Next bike rider could get badly hurt if he/she will drive through the oil. Looks very irresponsible for me. At least you could clean it up yourself and use some absorbents.

Huh. Comparing an Italian bike with a Japanese bike… and the Japanese bike breaks down. That’s a bit backwards, isn’t it?

Sounds like a blown oil filter seal. I did one on my zx10 a while back. Same deal, oil everywhere, and smoking due to oil on exhaust

Umm. Fast Bikes Magazine also on KZitem did a bike comparison test on the Isle of Man. Honda came last because it crapped out.

After the 44teeth fireblade not surviving a single day a blown up Honda might not be that exclusive.
