I heated everything that I could on the grill personally because I found that to be nasty. I took pride in cooking and always kept my station cleaned to I never had to worry about things like cross contamination. Also fun fact. Maggianos is apart of Brinker International, they also own chili's, and they are running two ghost kitchens out of Chili's called Maggianos and It's Just Wings. Unless you have a physical Maggianos restaurant in your area, if you order off doordash comes out of chili's kitchen and about 95% of it is microwaved. So yeah, stay away lol

What matters is if the food tastes good. Italians don’t have to get upset about everything pasta related. This isn’t even Italian type pasta, it’s a Cajun recipe. We get it, you’re Italian and you cook pasta a certain way. We don’t need to hear about it every time there’s a video on pasta. We’re not from Italy, and we reserve the right to do it differently. There’s no right or wrong way to cook something (unless it’s dangerous or unsanitary). Do it according to your own taste and don’t judge others based on their cooking methods. That’s immature, annoying, and unnecessarily rude. Have whatever opinion you want, but just because you CAN say it doesn’t mean you SHOULD. Adults should understand the difference. This is for convenience. Not everybody wants to cook like a gourmet chef every time they make dinner. And not every ingredient that’s traditional for a dish is available everywhere. Be kind.

In a small bowl, whisk together salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, rosemary, oregano and cayenne. 2. Sprinkle more than half the cajun spice mix all over the chicken on both sides and reserve remaining spice mix for later. 3. Heat oil in a large deep skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides and cooked through, 3 to 4 minutes a side. Transfer cooked chicken to a cutting board and let rest while you make the pasta. 4. Reduce heat to medium. Add onion and garlic to the same skillet and cook, stirring, until softened, about 3 minutes. 5. Add the uncooked pasta, milk and water or broth. Season with the remaining seasoning blend. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook, stirring often until pasta is al dente and liquid is absorbed and creamy, 12 to 15 minutes. 6. Slice the chicken and transfer it on top of the pasta along with the chopped tomatoes and chopped cilantro.

@@SR77736 Thanks! I’d love to try real Jamaican food. The closest I’ve had is Jamaican Jerk chicken at restaurants that weren’t Jamaican so I’m sure it’s not terribly accurate lol.

This comment section makes Italians seem very provincial and uncreative. Just like Asians with rice, people need to get it through their heads that just because somebody's done something a different way doesn't make it wrong, it's just not what you're used to.

The mistake is technical, if u cook pasta in the sauce you gonna eat all the imid that pasta release and is disgusting 🤢🤮.

You can be creative while still following the basics... Pasta is supposed to be boiled in water. Period. Maybe it's not part of American culture, but Italians value tradition.

I tried making this recipe multiple times, even though I was still learning the new stove it was really delicious despite when I sometimes screwed up and burnt the uncooked pasta looking for something. Other times the milk would tip somewhere else and nearly start a fire. You don’t HAVE to use chicken for this recipe to taste good!

As someone from the South, people don’t even _know_ how mind-blowing Cajun cuisine is. It’s like French cooking gone wild, in the very best possible way. None of the pretentiousness, just maximum flavor comfort food with a ton of spices, using cheap and common base ingredients. It really is a phenomenally underrated family of cuisine.

@@tastyredsauce as a Cajun myself, I definitely wouldn't call French food pretentious. I don't think any cultures food is pretentious. But as Cajun French people and dating back to our Acadian ancestors, we do use few ingredients and cheaper ingredients because that's just how it was all those years ago, Cajuns were almost always very poor and made the most with so little. And many spices lol
