Mike, you’re a true pioneer for the industry & I’m not talking about the social media aspect. I’m talking about the real green industry. The softwares you’ve helped to develop & implement, the knowledge you’ve shared freely, the honesty behind every word you speak, these are characteristics that are not found with any other “micro influencer” (as you call them) on social media. You are a true business man, you give advice from a perspective of success. Not from a perspective of flashiness. You walked the walk long before you ever spoke about it. I was subscribed to your channel before you hit 5k and watched the channel explode. And not gonna lie, I was worried that your content would washout like everyone else, but it never did. You kept everything relevant every step of the way. The followers you have are people that are truly committed to the green industry, not just social media users looking for fun content. I believe that’s the biggest differences between you & everyone else. That’s why I’m Team Andes all day long. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing, I trust your judgement 110%

Mike your story is awesome. I been watching your videos since you started I remember when you had very few followers, also I remember when you told your story on KZitem a few years back. I always say Rome wasn’t built in the a day as long as you work Hard and do the right thing and have faith in the man above. It will all work out. You bring a lot of knowledge to the Lawn Care industry, and I appreciate you, Mike you are an inspiration to many people and I hope to meet you one day whether it’s at the GIE or maybe at one of your events. Just so you know, I too was injured lost. My job was in a wheelchair. Had to learn how to walk again daring that time I knew I needed to find something for my mental health. I was very depressed in a bad place. But it all started with me doing my lawn I never knew it would bring so much joy to my life. I quickly found out that this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I have many challenges. The doctor told me I would not be able to do it I am so blessed that I found something I love and have a passion for. Lawn care Save my life. I love being out in the lawn and learning about new equipment. I now have a small business that I am very proud of and I thank God every day I’ve even thought about joining your franchisee. Make keep doing what you’re doing and ignore the noise. And Thank You for all that you bring to the green industry. Danny from All That Grass Lawn Care.

This is fascinating to me. I started my painting business to help me pay for college and my doctorate degree (Physical therapy instead of being a surgeon though) and I worked as a personal trainer in the evenings as well. I also had a near death experience with heavy equipment that got me to rethink how I was doing things😂 (I got pinned between a cherry picker basket and a cinder block wall because my guy swung it the wrong way. He just happened to have the basket slightly angled, so I got pinned and heavily bruised instead of cut in 2) I decided to scale back and work solo instead of working on franchising, but I had the thought of just working on systems. I’m in my grad school program right now. Your story just gave me serious Deja vu.

I could upscale my business but I don't want the hassle of employees. I'm not sure I have the patience or self control to manage people, especially if they take lots of days off or are hard to get along with. Any advice to overcome this fear of working with others? I think alot of issues would be finding the RIGHT guy for the job not just desperately taking people

I hate flying because I always get sick as well! Depending on how many fly with you for these consultations, it may be more efficient to hire a private charter plane 🤷♂️ Another suggestion would be to hire a driver so you can be productive as someone else is driving. I remember watching a mid level relator explaining that hiring an acquaintance to drive him around on long days is well worth the say $20 an hour or whatever. He gets home not stressed out from fighting traffic, his e-mails / messages are caught up; so when he gets home at 6pm he can enjoy time with his family not play catch up. Customers are happy they don’t have to wait a day or two for reply’s. Obviously it’s not everyday he admits, but 2-3 days a week he’s booked out all day with showings / new listings and such.

There is a reason why TY always had intros like for "mike holmes" or "property brothers" where is says "I am this person and this is my company and I built it from nothing, and today I'm here to help..person" and you need an intro that does that for all. You're current intros don't have that in it, its starts off with the client you are helping and there back ground. Before that you need your canned intro "I'm mike andes and I built my company up to blah from blah and i have 150 franchises and today I'm here to help" throws to the episode. mad ethis comment before i got to the "the profit" that was one of my favorite shows and why I like your turn around shows so much.

Don’t get big EGO - “BUT” Lawn Care has best biz content on the youtube! & Mike Andes is one of the best. Loved Marcus Lamonis The Profit. If need more applicants for the 1.2 million media team… -Maybe step outside of outdoor residential services? -Maybe somebody that does not need help but just has a built an empire/brand story. -If Hoovie can score a visit with Jay Leno then you can score a visit Marcus Lemonis! Marcus needs more youtube time anyways - he is wasting to much time on X & also needs more exposure to a younger entrepreneurial audience and you have that! -Visit someone that has barely started opening their location or even just exploring opening/switching to your franchise. What does it look like before the green lights & buying a truck/supplies/equipment/finding customers etc.

I wanted to be a surgeon as well, but then I looked hard at their lives.. They are on a constant (boring) grind, and seem unhappy. Up at 5am (every day) and home at 6pm if your lucky. Insurance Companies nickle and dime you, and are constantly cutting your share of revenue. Medical devices are an absolute night mare , and frankly quite dangerous...Devices are the wild west, and profit orient.. EVERYTHING in healthcare is PROFIT driven, over customer care... The Oath of "do no harm" is IMPOSSIBLE with a conscious, and if your not a Sheep and just follow the crowd.. YES many MD's are clueless and SHEEP, they believe what is taught to them, not what Science says... Its sad really, I want NOTHING to do with healthcare now....

Tree service is very cut throat. In my area we literally have Meth heads cutting down trees. The big companies have a lot of overhead. I got out of lawn care and into pest control for the same reasons. The regulations make it a real PITA but that keeps competition to a minimum. Our problem now is no one wants to do this job. I’d love to have one 40 hour a week guy who committed but there is none in my small town. I have a great helper but he refuses to get fully licensed 🤷♂️ Also I have back up vehicles, equipment and additional back up, back up equipment. During our busy season missing just one day can cost us thousands! During CoVid I had a couple sprayers break down and Stihl parts from Germany were unobtainable. No exaggeration: My third line sprayers that I started with were literally keeping the business in operation. I called Stihl corporate in Virginia and begged them, I told them that if one more sprayer breaks down them I’m out of business, Stihl had no sympathy as they were not producing new units because they also had no parts! I also had a surplus of disposable gloves and I thought I was prepared, but we were in desperate depletion and I was paying almost $20 for a box of 100 gloves. For certain I am prepared now!
