So what happens when your pope says, you must follow vatican 2 and that it is dogmatic? What happens when your pope says remarried people can now take communion? What happens when your pope says gay marriage should be legal in the civil sphere, and in the church, it cannot be done sacramentally but you can bless the "couple" (yes couple not individuals)? what happens when he says the death penalty which was natural law before and given by God, now is said to be against the gospel? What do you do then? every single day, francis says something, and your apologists scramble and make livestreams and explain, each differently mind you, what he meant, if it's binding, if it's heresy, if he's a real pope, or the anti pope, or u have the likes of Mel gibson and Vigano who went full sedevacantists. My godmother followed her first husband into the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was annulled during Vatican II, due to the fact his parents knew about his schizofrenia. A few years later she met a former monk, that was kicked out of the monastery because he wanted to adhere to tradition and not to Vatican II. He proposed, but she didn't want to marry him. But she asked God and said if there was a candle burning in church on a certain time of the day (in which never burnt any candles) she would marry him. And a candle burnt indeed. A few years later she followed him into the orthodox church. Both died orthodox very old and were believers from the heart ❤️.

Obviously, there are theological differences, as well, that I disagree on, but if RC is indeed true, I would have to concede those no matter what. The Pre-Schism Church did not have the current ecclesiology that Roman Catholicism has acquired Post-Schism while the OC still holds to that Early Church structure. I see you're coming from a place of love and so am I. The Bible that you believe is the one and only authority wasn't around until 300 years after Christ established His church. What they did have was church tradition. Paul states "So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter." He's clearly saying that oral tradition holds the same weight. The Gospels and epistles were preserved through the tradition of the church and their purpose was to be read aloud during the church service. The reason a Canon was put together was to ensure that the heresy of the time could not prevail but it was not to negate the authority that the church has. They are BOTH authoritative and are both led by the Holy Spirit and do not contradict. The New Testament Canon that you use was put together by saints and the Orthodox church authority who were led by the Holy Spirit. The only reason we know that Matthew wrote the book of Matthew is because the Church tradition said it was. The reason the book of Revelation made it into the Canon is because Saint Athanasius led by the Holy Spirit presented to the Church that it should be. And again this did not happen until after the first 300 years of the Church being established. This is not to diminish the importance of the Bible, rather to point out that it is not the only authority in how we are to live as Christians. Christ did not leave is with a Bible, he left us with His Church. As far as icons and Saints go. There were icons in the old testament when God commanded Moses to carve cherubim on the ark of the covenant. Ppl bowed down before the ark. Luke was the first to paint icons, as far as we know, after Christ's ressurection. Icons were used in the church as a means to preserve the true theology of the Apostles because they didn't have a Bible and because even if they did most ppl could not read, but they could view an icon to help understand complex theological events. Also veneration is not the same as worship. If a loved one passes away and you hold a photo of them and kiss it and say I love and miss you, you aren't worshipping that loved one, you are showing them love and respect. The Saints are a tradition of the Church but are also mentioned in Revelation when John has a vision of Liturgical worship in heaven and the Saints are offering prayers/incense in front of the alter of God. It also mentions the Martyr's asking to be avenged. As far as works go. The issue is that Protestants have a wrong view of what salvation actually is. It's not just a matter of getting to heaven. It's a matter of being in communion with God. Works do not earn us salvation but the more we love our neighbors and live as Christ tells us, our hearts change and we are purified so that we are able to receive his gift of Grace. It's not a legalistic view of checking off boxes, it's about a heart change. There's much more to say, but I've already said a lot. Now I do not agree with the Catholic Church, I am Orthodox and believe the Catholics began accepting heresy and therefore the schism happened. But I would encourage you to look more into the early church and church history. As well as reading the church fathers who were taught by the Apostles such as St Ignatius and see what they believed. I assure you it doesn't align with any Protestant denominations. I also wanted to mention that I converted to Orthodoxy from Protestantism, so I understand where you're coming from and stuggled with the same concerns before coming to the Truth. ❤

On the topic of visible aesthetic differences and the issue of the liturgy I think it’s important to keep in mind… It’s not exactly fair to compare RC (large/widespread/mainstream) to EO or OO (tiny/fringe) - West and East are often contrasted as “two halves” but we are really not comparing apples to apples - RC is >5x bigger than EO and OO is significantly smaller than EO. In America we’re talking RC home 71 million compared to the EO diaspora numbered between 6 hundred thousand to ~1million. Of course you’d encounter a more traditional “taste and see” artisanal/alternative experience in the diasporic communities of Eastern Christianity. It is easier to appear coherent, pure, beautiful and “untouched” when you’ve had the fortune of being “off the grid”. RC has had a different history carrying Christendom on their back, and so we still carry burdens and have many knots to untangle. We are not only 5x the size of the East but we are in direct confrontation/dialogue with Protestantism/secularism. This helps explain some of the silliness we see. The leaders of our Latin Church felt the pressure to adapt our liturgy to these unique and unprecedented developments. We also had a centralized and organized authority/institution able to make “reforms” to the liturgy in hopes of making it more suited to “non-western” peoples, protestant Christians, and “modern man”. The fact that the Eastern Christians of tiny decentralized diasporic immigrant churches all retain their traditional liturgies says nothing of the truth or faithfulness of “Orthodoxy”. It’s literally the nature of being a small religious sect originating from a traditional non-western culture with little power or reason to change. At the risk of sounding rude, fleeing to “the East” feels like little more than another form of Prot-like sectarian restorationist escapism. It is really not the oasis and bulwark of “apostolic civilizational Christianity” it pretends to be. Frankly western converts appear guilty of a form of religious exoticism not unlike “converts” to Buddhism/hinduism back in the day. The fight is happening in Rome. And as Rome goes, so goes the world.

Lord have mercy. Sadly, your catechesis failed you. The issue you encountered with contraception which unfortunately caused you this great stumbling block ultimately reveals that you never truly grasped Orthodox epistemology. Just because one bishop or one priest or even one local Church says something, doesn't make it true, nor does it put it on equal footing with a contrary position just because a bishop said it. When the pillars of Orthodox dogma (the Scriptures, the canons, the councils, the liturgy, the teachings of the saints and fathers) reveal a consensus about a moral position, then the wayward opinion of a bishop or even majority of bishops is completely irrelevant. The failure to grasp orthodox epistemology is probably the #1 cause of apostasy that I've observed, and its absolutely tragic. Furthermore, the Catholic church allows cart blanche, unlimited NFP that doesn't even require the blessing or involvement of a spiritual father. There is nothing but a facade of unity on paper in the Roman Catholic Church. On the ground and within the hierarchy (up to and including the pope himself) is mass confusion on everything from liturgy (total liturgical chaos), to sacramentology (see: paedocommunion/ delaying of confirmation), to morality (see: blessing same sex couples and the death penalty), to ecclesiology (see: VII and the recognition of even some protestant sacraments), even to the exclusivity of the gospel itself (see: pope francis' recent comments and his repeated doubling down regarding all religions being paths to arrive at God as well as VII teaching that muslims and jews worship the same god as Christians). I'm genuinely sad for you. Apostasy is the gravest of sins. It is better for someone to never have become Orthodox then to apostatize. Lord have mercy! My dms on fbook/instagram are always open if you care to understand the truth of these matters and re-consider.

Regardless of what you think that makes me or what sin you think I've committed...curious though, when did God make you the judge? God knows my obedience to Him, I would rather die than to be in mortal sin. Venial sins are painful enough. I live my life with salvation in mind, it's not an after thought, union with God is not my Sunday obligation. It's my obligation every moment of every day. I fail miserably but it is still the goal. So if I'm in grave sin because of my obedience then let God judge me and it will be just.

From what I know they did because they changed there positions on contraception and Divorce and remarriage. During the communist era the russian orthodox church was in captivity to communists and had to submit to there rules. Now this would require much more research and debate on who had the higher or greater authority Constantinople or Moscow to lead those positions to popularity. Both were under captivity one by the Muslims and the other by the The russian Czar eliminating the Moscow patriarch and then the communists.

@JaimeAlvarez-r9u
2 күн бұрын
@@icxcnika2037 Yes I understand your position but those positions are not magisterium or dogmas like the catholic church. The EO discerns morals to discipline and human tradition. The patriarch of Constantinople approved contraception with married couples because he stated there was no dogmatic objection to abortive contraception. Another point on divorce you state is wrong as a fact the orthodox church allows up to three divorces per individual. Much of these views are seen as one's perspective hence why they have a variety of views on many things. As a fact the last ecumenical council the EO had was before the great schism.

@JaimeAlvarez-r9u that is absolutely false. The patriarchate did not approve anything. Third, the 3 divorces are in extremely extremely rare conditions and on a pastoral basis. This is ALSO allowed in the eastern catholic jurisdictions, hello? The Orthodox faith does have a hierarchy....it's the teachings of the Church from the beginning...the Church Fathers...Canons...general consensus of Saints/Martyrs etc. I mean I just watched the recent scandal what your Pope said about all paths leading to God... I'm pretty sure many catholics were outraged themselves..... it's basically the same complaint you have about orthodoxy...your church Fathers and Saints would disagree with your Pope.... something is just very off on the reasoning behind why you left. Lord have mercy.
@righteousrebellion90

@mannss42884 Thank you for your question. My hope is that the schism would end and all churchs would return home. That's probably a naive hope, but it's similar to the hope I have about every soul being saved and every single person ending up in heaven. It's a hope, I don't wish anyone an eternity in hell. But God knows better than I do. And He is in control of it all. So it doesnt really matter much what I hope. My point is that I was once a protestant, I was also once an orthodox, so I understand the mindset of each group and I know the deep love you can have for Christ no matter where you stand currently. But that doesn't automatically mean that it doesn't matter if you are in the true church or not, because a part of living out the faith passed on from Jesus to the disciples was not one that was up for interpretation, but rather one we should strive to live out and maintain. The church holds the true teaching. I always say that when I was a protestant it was like I was a baby eating baby food...and I never matured in my faith beyond what was possible because of the teaching or lack there of. So while I still view anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior as my brothers and sisters, I just mean because we do share one common but very important thing. Our love of Jesus Christ the Son of the living God.
@righteousrebellion90

@mannss42884 That sounds nice on paper, that the Orthodox church has a hierarchy, but practically speaking, everything is left up to each individual bishop. I'm sorry but I really do see how they lack the magisterium. It's very important. And I know the pope causes scandal, he's constantly taken out of context, and it seems like people watch him so closely hoping that he will trip. I pray for our pope. Through out history there have been good popes and bad ones, and very bad ones. But the church has survived it all, as much as the devil wants to tear down what God established, I believe Jesus when he said the gates if hell will NOT prevail. The church still stands, even though all the scandal, all the controversy, all the schism, all the infiltration, all the bombing and persecution....it's tough, the hardest kind of Christian to be is a Catholic. Everyone looks so poorly on you. But Jesus said, "If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first." I know all the stigma and hatred that comes our way, I was part of the hatred for so long. But now that I'm on the other side of it I see so clearly all that the devil has done to try to rip the church to shreds. It's heartbreaking, my heart aches for Jesus.

I'm saying in the sea of Christianity the most looked down on is the Catholic church. I have Catholic friends who are constantly persecuted, all I've ever heard from people all my life was how bad the catholic church is, never hear that same negativity about protestants or Orthodox, unless ofcourse you are talking to an atheist...in the Orthodox church the Catholic church is spoken of in disgust. You talk to an Orthodox priest and it's disgust for the Catholic church... you talk to a Catholic priest, and it's love for the Orthodox church. The contrast is wild. If you are Orthodox and you really believe that the Catholic church has gone astray, offer prayer and love...instead of hatred. Rebukes can be done in love but there is none. And it looks really bad. Jesus says love your enemies. The Catholic church is looked down on within Christians themselves. The schism, the reformation, all the denominations...it's clear to see that it is the hardest kind of Christian to be under the umbrella of Christianity. This is what I was meaning.

And that's beside the point of the emotional appeals and prelest. It's simply dishonest to say that Orthodox allow birth control.
@righteousrebellion90

@Warspite39 Why would I want an excuse to leave? You are judging both my heart and motives, and you are wrong about both. If I was in search for legalism the Catholic church is the last place I would go. Not everything is perfect in the Catholic church, but it is where God wants me to be. My only concern is and always will be the truth, which is Jesus Christ. Many people have asked me why I'm now in the Catholic church and I shared my experience, it's not dishonest to share it just because some people don't like what it is I'm saying. Anyway I hope you are well and God bless you.

@@righteousrebellion90 Are not you not claiming that you left because of a perceived lack of authority and supposed inconsistencies in teaching? Especially with Vatican 1 and 2, and the post V2 popes, it is plainly clear who is innovating and deviating from the truth. For example, to become Roman Catholic you must accept the Dogmatic Constitution Lumen Gentium, including 16 (And Nostra Aetate 2-3) which declares Rome adores god along with the muslims. And that all you need to believe is just in a generic creator to be included in salvation. It's plainly obvious that Rome has deviated from Christ as the only path to salvation. And this is not a mis-interpretation because even the Pope is declaring these errors as teaching from V2. So Rome has much bigger errors and inconsistencies and the papacy is not doing as Vatican 1 promised so it has defected from the faith of Christ.

@Warspite39 Exactly. Most catholics have not even read lumen gentium, vatican I, denzinger, vatican 2 and dictatus papae. They fail to grasp the orthodox argument is on a paradigm level. They think we're saying that a bishop can't make mistakes or have personal sins or that orthodoxy doesnt have some problems. This is allowed for in the orthodox paradigm and we see it plenty in history pre schism where those that obstinantly were heretical simply got ex communicated after a while. The catholic paradigm under all those documents does not allow for such a thing. Denzinger says you must follow the pope not just on "ex cathedra" (which that in of itself is very vague and unclear and you get as many differing opinions as there are catholics) but also on everything faith and morals and ordinary magisterium. So when the pope is literally an apostate, this is the actual case here, he is advocating for different religions, has allowed the worship of pachamama ceremony, has prayed in mosques (read previous popes who clearly said this was an act of public apostasy) he built the Abu Dhabi center. He repeated THREE times on THREE separate occasions, after he saw the uproar about what he said in Singapore, and double down and tripled down on the fact that all religions are divinely inspired and a path to God. In WHAT UNIVERSE is this the same church of the first 1000 years? But more importantly, in the orthodox paradigm such a bishop would he called a heretic as has Bartholomew been called and eventually the church will ex communicate him, but with the pope denzinger says the papacy CANNOT DEFECT. It's like they cannot grasp a paradigm level argument, an internal critique.

The main reason is my husband has expressed many times he preferred me without it, even though he would respect my decision to wear it if I choose, I decided to respect my husband. After all God taught me obedience and submission to my husband through head covering. Personally I would like to wear it full time. And thank you so much! God bless you!

Hi sister, as an eastern Catholic who’s considering orthodoxy, I’d have to say that your reasons for converting to roman catholicism are extremely weak. There are literally sooo many historical and THEOLOGICAL reasons as to why the orthodox church is the truth and has kept the teachings of the apostles and why Rome failed to do so. So what if the view on contraception isn’t unanimous? Seriously? Which is important this or theological and historical matters of the faith? Do you really think that the bishops of the catholic church agree on everything, do you even know that not all catholic churches recite the same creed? Do you know that the catholic church allows some of her eastern churches to honour some saints who were anti catholic and whom Rome itself condemned as heretics, yet allow the eastern churches to honour them? The orthodox church is absolutely more united on faith and morals than Rome. Plz do watch catholic vs orthodox debates on the papacy and educate yourself more on this church history. I’m sorry to say this to you or to judge you for your decision. But, as a catholic who’s watched many debates and read on the history of orthodox catholic, I couldn’t help but accept orthodoxy, as the evidence is undeniable especially on matters like the papacy and the alteration of the creed by Rome..etc. you can’t be serious that you accepted Catholicism for a reason like that. May God bless you and guide you to the truth.

@@CedanyTheAlaskan I appreciate your prayer and sharing of the link. I’ve watched it, and that wasn’t really a good argument as anyone could take anything from the OT and turn it into a typology. And by what standards should we assume that the church has to resemble the davidic kingdom in every possible way. These similarities that jimmy spoke of between the davidic kingdom and the church can be applied to orthodoxy as well, as each church has the institutional structure of the davidic kingdom with patriarchs ruling their own jurisdictions, sharing equal authority with Christ being the head and ultimate Ruler of the whole church. The separation he spoke of that is meant to be a repetition (in a different way) of that of the northern kingdom in the OT, could also be applied to Protestants, orientals, church of the eastern, and many heretical groups. The church of the first millennium never had a Vatican I mindset of the papacy, in fact many roman popes were opposed to such ideas and some like pope st Gregory the great even demonised anyone who want to call himself the universal bishop or desires authority over all the bishops. History shows that the papacy slowly developed and evolved into that of vatican I. Also, since both Vatican II council and many popes teach that the orthodox church has all valid sacrements including a valid Eucharist, and that all religions are supposedly true and lead to God, then what is the point of even becoming Catholic??

@RLG6728 I went to the Catholic church under obedience from God. Like I said in the video I didn't even want to go. There were things that caused questions, and realizing that each bishop can act of his own accord without much accountability is troublesome for me. When was the last time the Orthodox had a proper counsel? I would also argue that the papacy is in the creed. "The One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Chruch." Catholic means universal. The Orthodox church hasn't been universal, it's taken quite awhile to spread, I never even heard or knew Orthodoxy existed until I was 30 years old. Anyway I think the case for the papacy is strong and necessary. But at the end of the day I didn't leave the Orthodox church of my own accord, I left because God told me to follow my husband. And my husband was convinced through his own research that the Catholic church is the true church. I told my husband "if you are following Chist, I will follow you." ....so he was the one who brought the family into the church.. like I said in the video. I didn't leave the Orthodox church because it scandalized me, the questions I had just led to research on both me and my husband's part. If scandal was the reason to leave a church the Catholic church would be the last place I would go....it's full of scandal, controversy. But I believe it is the true church and God wanted me here. So I went under obedience. The devil wants to tear God's church down, if you were the devil and Jesus said about the church He would build...that the gates of hell will not prevail...where would be the first place you would infuriate and try to take down and tear down. The evil one has been successful at dividing the church over and over and over and over....I don't even know how many denominations there are. And for the first 1000 years the catholic church and Orthodoxy were one...the devil can't tear down but he sure can divide, infiltrate, scandaliz, cause controversy etc...Jesus gave Peter the keys, a special seat, and on the rock that was Peter, He said He would build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail. Although the gates of hell are working over time and trying really hard to make God's word null. May God bless you.

@michaelwachira8484 You guys are honestly embarrassing at this point. Keep repeating strawmen and showing your utter ignorance of church history. Let me repeat the same that's been repeated to you guys if you bothered genuinely and honestly looking. Kirill and Bartholomew do NOT disagree on doctrinal issues. This is not even in their power to do. The MP ceased to commemorate Bartholomew because of his ECUMENISM. This is how heretical bishops were always addressed in the first millennium. This isn't "disunity" nor does it disprove the church because it happened all the time in the first 1000 years LOL!. Are you aware of saint meletius ? He is a saint in your church and he was out of communion with the bishop of Rome and died out of communion and even ordained st john chrysostom during that. Secondly, manners of reception into the church are left to the discretion of the bishop bexause it is a case by case basis. This was ALSO the case in the first millennium. Because now many years have passed since the schism, some bishops and elders argue that we should baptize most converts since even roman catholics now do not baptize properly anymore by barely sprinkling. You have a catholic priest in Texas a couple of years ago who was baptizing for over 2 decades thousands of people but with the so called "wrong" formula (very legalistic) and so all his baptisms were considered null. Original sin? no there is no disunity. 1 or 2 Modern scholars don't affect the mind of the church which is preserved by the saints, holy tradition, church fathers. It is really ironic that all the things you accuse of falsely, you actually have issues with them in your own church 😂. Are you aware that the catholic church changed its stance on original sin? before, you believed that you inherit the "guilt" not just the corruption of nature and thus non baptized infants were damned to hell. The vatican softened this position and basically somewhat agrees with us now, and has the doctrine of infants "in limbo". this causes a contradiction with the entire premise of the false doctrine of the immaculate conception. Which unironically started being uttered by these weird marian apparitions right after it was dogmatic in conjunction with many demonic apparitions that can be seen as such by anyone with a little experience and discernment in the spiritual life. Please don't bother replying because I'm not going to have a low tier debate with these silly and disingenuous arguments. Your own church says and admits that our church not only has all the sacraments a.k.a. has Jesus in the eucharist, but they admit we kept the faith unchanged. Which is why they accept the eastern catholics believing exactly what we believe so as long as they are in "communion" with the pope, without accepting the infallibility and supremacy as defined by vatican I.

Why do i have the feeling you were never orthodox to begin with? Uh oh...and then i see this 2:47 and this 6:20 and this is the icing on the cake 6:56. You believe they, the orthodox, are the true church and are your brothers and sisters in Christ alongside the Protestants and Catholics? Then why did you switch? Your logic is the same as the Pope's "every religion is a way to arrive at God...and if God is God to all, we are all sons and daughters of God" which is just not true. You then said the heart is deceitful and then you followed your heart. 16:00 Then you heard God telling you to follow your husband? Really? And then you heard something about how to go to church and be a sheep. Well you can be a sheep in every church. If you actually believed that the true church is the Orthodox Church and believed that in 1054 the Catholics split from the Orthodox, then you would not have stood here today and claim you know God since you were not even baptized in the Orthodox Church AND you did not read what God said about this in Matthew 18:15-18. I believe that the Orthodox church is a true church, yes, but I'm schism. The true church is the one Holy Catholic and Apostolic church. I simply mean that all Christians share a common value, which is Jesus Christ, the son of the Living God, and I believe this units us more than it should tare us apart. The whole situation is sad. The devil had caused so much division and devastation and bitterness...but even though the Orthodox is a church is schism, I hope it returns home to the true church one day. I also hope protestants will come home. You ever read about the prodigal son? Just because your brother and sister go away, it doesn't stop making them your brother and sister. Your brother and sister remain your brother and sister, you just aren't united until they choose toreturnn home. It always surprises me when Christians talk like this, but I guess it really shouldn't. It's just really judgemental without trying to understand the heart. And you know all these kinds of comments coming from Orthodox Christians, it's very eye opening. But I digress, how does God speak to you? I have heard God's voice since I was 16 years old. I make sure it's truly from God by doing two things, making sure it's biblical and talking to my spiritual Father about it. The Bible says the sheep know my voice, that's what the Bible says. Are you mocking the Bible? That would be pretty wild. And maybe you can say I never really was Orthodox, I was only in the church for a year and never got baptized, but if I would have died before my baptism I would have had an Orthodox baptism, so who knows if you or the orthodox church is the correct one about if I was actually Orthodox or not. I even spoke to my Orthodox priest at the time about this situation, he knew the situation. He was not happy about it but he never said not to follow my husband, he told me to pray. Anyway no hard feelings, I really do love you all. I hope you have a nice day and may God bless you abundantly.

And the brother in this case did not listen during the years and eventually LEFT! It crossed the line in 1054 and left the Church! Look at what happened in that month of 1054 with the supernova. So for us, Catholics are like pagans (read Matthew 18:15-18) because they left!. Will the Catholics come back? This is the question. You want to be with them, suit yourself. You want Marian apparitions , i give you 1274, look what the Holy Theotokos said in Mt. Athos and why. So choose because you can't have both! Even if you do a search online, it’ll come up and tell you that. So literally every source tells you this)! (so then by your own admission that doesn’t sound like the Catholics breaking away.. it sounds like we excommunicated you! 😂 so why don’t you tell the truth for a change )…oh and by the way, it wasn’t a clean break …the splitting started 100 to 200 years before (circa 800’s) and continued on about 200 years afterwards 1200’s) …. I watched your whole video and practically read all the comments. I think it is wonderful that GOD directed you subtly at first into faith by allowing you to go into a Protestant Church then taking you a lot deeper by nearly getting you involved in Eastern Orthodoxy, then he points to Catholicism. I am nobody to question you or condemn you because me doing so is my doing the same to God. An I am already in enough trouble with him as it is and I don’t want to upset him more. I understand your story from my own personal experience. I am a Cradle Catholic, went to the Catholic Church for 17 years of my life and I will tell you the truth. I don’t mean to upset you or bash Catholics but I did not feel many things: 1. I could not participate in receiving the Holy Communion for the first 11 years of my life because I was not Chrismated. I did not understand because nobody explained to me that only a Archbishop in the Catholic Church can lay hands to Chrismate you and because there are so many baptisms the Archbishops cannot do it everywhere at once. I felt left out watching my parents go and receive communion while I sat there wondering why I couldn’t participate. 2. I did not realise at the time but looking back I felt Catholics go to Church spend the hour with God and each other worshipping and praying, then that is it and everyone goes home. I will explain later why this makes me feel sad. 3. Nobody explained to me the animal sacrificial system of the Old Testament and how it related to Christs perfect sacrifice. This is bad because people need to understand why we take the Holy Communion. 4. Now I did not know this because I only heard the popular verses from St Paul’s Letters but the Catholic Church does not operate the way Paul said it should for example Men stand on the Left and Women and Children stand on the right separate. Women covering their heads for the mass. 5. I don’t know where Catholic Liturgy comes from as in which Saint gave it to us and is the Liturgy today the same Liturgy originally given? 6. The Holy Communion is Body and Blood and I know the Catholics dip the body in the blood but this is not faithful to Scripture because Christ never did this, he served both separately for his disciples. Technically his body containing his blood needed to break first to release the blood for the forgiveness of sins. So where did Catholics get the idea that the blood being on the outside of the body is acceptable is beyond my rational understanding. For many years I separated myself from God, I knew he was in the background and I did not acknowledge him, in fact it used to make me upset when my mother would say things like “leave it in Gods hands” because I considered my problem too insignificant for God to handle. Now I know better. Leave everything with God he knows best and he will put you where you need to be for one reason or another. Everything was going fine for me in my ignorance till Covid hit and I could see that humanity was on a decline. I could see that this virus would do a few things: 1. Cause the death and destruction of the society around me. 2. Cause the heart of men to grow even colder toward one another in a hope of survival. 3. I had no one to turn too if things got really bad. I started to realise that only God could be my rock during all of this turmoil. I had finished my University Degree in Electrical Engineering 10 years before Covid and during University I ran into some Muslims who tried to shake my very weak faith in Lord Jesus by asking some very basic questions like how could God have a son? I did not have an answer and so I just kind of went quiet. I could tell there was something off in the question because it made me feel uncomfortable. In hindsight I realise Satan was working through this Muslim to shake my faith. It bothered me for years, what is so good about Islam? What do they know that I don’t? I never bothered to open up a Quran and read it or to look for answers in a Bible because it was a thinking point that could be left that way. Going back to Covid. First thing I did was affirm my faith in Jesus and I did that by watching a 5 hour debate that featured Sam Shamoun and William Albrecht vs Ijaz Ahmed and some other Muslim and Sam Shamoun’s arguments convinced me that Christianity is absolutely correct! I started to watch Ex-Muslim Christian Testimonies and began to realise the religion I took for granted, was actually freeing people from tyranny and those people were becoming elevated thanks to Lord Jesus. I was wrong to take my faith and my religion for granted. One night I felt the Holy Spirit come upon me and I felt a feeling of peace, joy, love and absolute happiness with tears rolling down my face. It was the first time I felt him and I knew I have to make an effort. I have to make an effort to read more of the Bible. I have to make an effort to go to Church and be a good example to my Children to raise them in the fear of the Lord. I have a friend who is an OBGYN and he is Coptic Orthodox or Oriental Orthodox and he invited me to his Church, so I took my oldest daughter and we went for a service. It went for three hours. I was watching the Liturgy and noticed the depth of Scripture, the serving of the Body and Blood separately, the young children taking communion something I was not allowed to do. The women with head coverings. The day I went was a Baptism as well so that was blessing because the parents rebuked Satan on behalf of the chrismated child. Then after Church we went into Fellowship and had a meal, talked with one another, joked around and I got more involved with the Church like ran errands for them. I could see Jesus very clearly in the way the Coptic Orthodox behave, now I am not saying that Catholics don’t act like Jesus or Eastern Orthodox don’t act like Jesus but what I am saying is, it is more noticeable and more consistent in the Coptic Orthodox. I kept going to the Coptic Orthodox Church and I even went to a Passion Week full day of readings in the Church. By end of that day, the whole Church was bowing and signing the cross in the North, East, South and West Directions. I really felt the Spirit of God working inside of me that day. See I am in limbo now because I am married outside of any Church. I don’t feel comfortable in the Catholic Church and despite my wife being Baptised Catholic that is as far as it went. But a year and half of me going to the Coptic Orthodox Church and trying to be like Jesus has somewhat softened my wifes heart. She was at first opposed to going, then slowly she wanted to know what it was all about, now she comes weekly and she cleans the Church. Yes she gets paid a small $50 AUD to clean the Church but she says sometimes the money causes drama and she would be happy to do it for free. My thinking is, she is doing for the unadmitted love of Christ. I am not even sure if she realises it yet. A Coptic Orthodox Priest told me to be like Jesus to her and she will come, he was right. All I need is prayers and patience, I trust God will move her in the direction he wants her at some point. It doesn’t matter how long it takes what matters is it happens. How does my story relate to your story? God works in mysterious ways and he may take me out of the Catholic Church and place me in the Coptic Church and he may take you out of the Eastern Orthodox Church and place you in a Catholic Church. At the end of the day the body of Christ is never in Schism within itself. We are like the blood in the veins of Christ and the Churches are like the arms and feet. The blood can move from the left arm to the right arm but it is still within the same body. Christ is in control and I am sure he will reunite all Christians shortly. God bless and I hope my story allows you to grow in God and love God more and more.

It's not about me. It's not about what I like to call myself. I don't want any identity other than a Christ follower....labels and denominations are about self....who cares if I'm Catholic or orthodoxy... that's what i create in my own mind for my own justification....its not of Christ... @melburn74 in a sense I understand what you are saying, but in another I think it is important to be in Christ's true church, simply for the reason of getting correct doctrine. It sounds nice to say Christ is sufficient, and truly He is, but you need to know who Christ really is and what He really taught the apostles so that they could pass that faith unto us. God bless you brother.

@righteousrebellion90 There are a lot of beautiful and enticing things about catholicism, but I'm very reluctant to pledge my allegiance to a system over the person of Christ. It just seems peripheral to Christ. If I walked into a Catholic church tmrw declared myself Catholic, I feel like it would be an act of self....an act that satisfied my human intellect... I don't want an identity outside of Christ. There are no human creations that have a monopoly on truth, and God help us....There are no "holy" men...or women....please stop (Catholic church) venerating humans....Christ referred to Mary as "Woman"...and goes on to say..."What business do I have with you?"

Hi dear sister, I only discovered your previous videos two days ago and was so encouraged and inspired that there is a sister who wants to provoke other to this righteous rebellion and be an example of a lady who is not ashamed to be submitted to her husband, not ashamed of loving Christ and not ashamed to live biblically. Your passion to be biblically accurate really spoke to me as that is my own desire for many years. Where is that desire now? If you're truly born again and a child of God, I just don't see how you could settle in catholic church and be biblically accurate. Would you mind addressing things like mass, praying to Mary and other clearly not biblical practises?

It is beyond my understanding how any informed person can convert to Catholicism in the modern world. Vatican II says that Muslims worship the same God we do and are saved. Jesus said that noone goes to the Father except through him. Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. It's not even a matter of opinion or open to discussion. This is on the level of 1+1=2. Going to Catholicism in the post-Vatican II world is a direct, undebatable, and inescapable violation of the apostle Paul's clear and unambiguous statement. You are apostasizing. Kyrie Eleison.

"Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath Day" (Colossians 2:16) I think you have pointed out a failure of the Catholic church. So many like yourself are looking for a hierarchy for a unifying idea. But there is beauty in difference. We are not called as Christians to believe the same exact thing. We are called to believe in Christ. What we are seeing in Catholicism right now is a closed mind. Those who do not exactly agree completely or practice their faith exactly like the majority are shunned and hated. And I think it's important as Christians to understand there is no longer one true church. The Catholic church is the first church to divide the body of Christ, to split us amongst ourselves. Now the different churches, The Protestants, The Orthodox and The Catholics influence each other and work in unity to save souls. No one church is the true church or a perfect church. Before denomination, we are Christians ✝️

There can not be more than one truth. Either something is right or something is wrong. And I believe if its not from God its wrong. Truth is not objective, so if you have multiple churches teaching different things, aren't we going against the very command to "be of one mind"?..I agree that the church is split and I would not argue that, I also wouldn't argue that there are good Christians in every church, for its certain there are good Christians across many denominations...but that doesn't mean there's all of a sudden more than one truth, I have faith but not enough to believe that. Anyway, it's all love and may God bless you.

I agree with @righteousrebellion90 that there is only one objective truth. God IS Truth. And, his body, which is the church, is not invisible and cannot be divided.
@jjharrison512

I don't think a single church has the entire truth, but I do believe there is only one truth. It was always a Catholic practice to be aggressive and dominate a new culture by only teaching the Bible in Latin. When they looked at the ways of the Protestant church, they changed this tactic. Now, who here had the truth. The Orthodox church, which had always encouraged the study of the Bible in native languages, already had the real truth of how to save souls. The churches all influence each other, and a church like the Catholic church, which is always constantly changing to meet the staus quo, could not possess the full truth of our faith.

Dear sister, I really encourage you to slow down in this decision. I say this because after going to Mass for many months, I realized that what I read in the catechism sounds good on paper but what is lived out and practiced is night and day. It’s false unity. Catholics today are divided on everything from the liturgy, to the interpretations of the magisterium, to novus ordo, Latin mass, sspx, fssp, etc. its absolute chaos. The pope is a heretic and there’s constant excuses being made for him even though he has said and done many many things that completely contradict the Bible and the catechism. Why was the photian council accepted by Rome for 200 years if papal infallibility is true? Just one of many many things. Peace and blessings
