And he knew this day was gonna come like he said which is why he shouldn't have done it in the first place because children can't consent, naturally want to please their parents and feel the pressure of money, and we are their biggest protectors but putting them online and using them to make money puts them in danger. And he said they still have to help out..no child should have to work to provide for the family- the parents should be the only ones doing it. Not depending on their children for ANYTHING.

I seldom comment on any KZitem videos because there is so much noise already, but I feel compelled to add on to the adoration that is being sent your way. THIS is exactly what drew me to your channel at the start. The lessons you were teaching your children from the start, and the way you deal with issues just embodies what true love and parenting can be. It's all life lessons and love, and that's all it has EVER been. On top of that, your willingness to show vulnerability and share your mistakes or even your thoughts on how you could have done better, I think is so valuable for people to see, and needed by so many people. Should I be blessed with children in my life, I will have counted myself lucky to have witnessed your journey: bumps, bruises, hiccups, and all. It bring me so much joy when I see people like you, who I view as just a genuine and good person, succeed. Thank you for the content, but most importantly, thank you for always showing us that the content of your character trumps all. Looking forward to whatever comes from you in the future.

I LOVE 💗 THIS! This is such a wonderful thing to consider what your kids want over your own ambitions. So many people, especially on KZitem like these family blog channels will have all the children there 24 seven whether they wanna be there or not and it’s very intrusive sometimes especially as they start to get older and go through that awkward stage so this is wonderful that you listened to what they wanted. Good job! There was a time that I wanted to start a Art channel with my son, but I knew the commitment that would be required with me doing that and I thought about all the moments that he just does not want to be seen or does not want people to record him And I changed my mind because I really thought about how he would feel in that situation and I’m glad I did. I was not sure what was going on so thank you for sharing this info with me. I’ve been missing you all, praying about it and God told me that something different was happening. I was pleased to join you a couple of weeks ago on a Zoom Conference. My technical skills could be better and so at the age of 72 I tend to miss out on some of the technology. I love being able to be a financial supporter (patron supporter) of Belief in Fatherhood for the last several years, and will hang in with that support as your family pivots and figures this out because God has let me know that this is an important time for you, your family and the mission He’s commissioned you with. Your mission is to train fathers and that’s what you are doing by listening to Theo and Uriah. I respect that because I know changing directions this way it’s possibly messing with your family’s livelihood. I know that God has you, and that you and Yvette are being led in this. I’ve no doubt y’all will come out the other side of this stronger as a family. Stay true to your mission. Thank you for sharing this info with me. By the way Theo asking why y’all are not doing videos anymore really does need to be talked out. I hope I don’t miss that convo when you post it. It may be that he did not understand the import of what he was communicating with you. He may not have thought you were actually listening and would act on his objection to his being in front of the camera. Kids logic is not always as direct as we’d hope…who knows what he thought would truly happen with the videos. Be blessed Glenn! Your coming thru this because God’s faithful!

I've always liked that your videos aren't embarrassing your kids. You show them as human who are growing up and finding their way. You and the Mrs are doing good work showing parenting in this day and age while being black. I wish you all the best with the books. 🎉❤ Respect to the chocolate babies whether they are on or off camera, a lot of people value privacy when they no longer have it. I'm glad they have a voice and a choice. 🙏

Sooooo cool about the books coming in 2024. Me and my husband are having our first child anyday now. Im going to purchase all of these because by then our son will be 7 months and we’ll be reading to him often. Me and my husband want to start building a library for our son before he arrives. Can’t wait!!

I'm so so impressed and inspired by you and your choice in respecting your kids privacy and mental space! Room for them to grow up in a safe, healthy, loving space. I feel like you're leading the way, carving the path for how to make this type of family content safely for your kids! I feel like it is possible to be done without filming kids. So many family channels do not consider their childrens choice and opinion and feelings.

Exactly. And the end goal is happy, well adjusted adults, NOT Internet stars. But I think some parents forget that. These guys keep a good healthy perspective. They don’t allow this to dominate their family.

I think it's absoloutely amazing that you've been taking the time to talk to your kids and understand their boundaries and what they are or are not comfortable with. I think it's just such a hard topic to bring up and discuss because unlike child actors there is truly nothing protecting kids in family channels in terms of law, how many hours they are working and essentially have no one to stick up for them except for their parents. aand unfortunately we have seen many content creator parents not put their children first and put their own comfortably with either their routine or their lifestyle above their childrens. It is truly a sort of power imbalance if you are not actively taking the time to check in with your children and how they're feeling and consitantly reflecting on your own actions. I myself back when I was in highschool worked part-time at the same company that my mom worked at and she did not treat me equally to other employees. She would often blow up on me and expect much more out of me in terms of communicating with her or handling tasks in the workplace even though she would never in a million years treat any other employee in the company that way, simply because I was her daughter. Because in a work setting you are supposed to be able to go to people and talk to them about being mistreated but it's difficult to do because, 1 you don't want to make your parents look bad and 2 you know you're gonna get it when you get home because you don't talk about personal business. I think it's just harder to trust family channels in general because these kids featured in family channels don't always have an escape to go to when their work enviroment is treating them harshly. When I clock out of my 9-5 I can go rant to my Dad about how my boss mistreated me and get his advice on the matter. It's difficult to have complete trust and no pressure when your parent is essentially your boss, confidant, and keeper. Kids can pick up easily on when theyre family is struggling or going through a hard time and will do what they can to try and ease the parents burden, sometimes at the sacrafice themselves. Which can also be unfair when you're putting a heavy burden on your child to contribute to your income, or be a partial breadwinner. Idk just some of my thoughts and experiences on the situation. I love your content and really respect the steps you have been taking to make sure you are setting aside money for your kids, letting them know that they can particpate in the filming process other than being on camera, and also letting them know hey I know you felt a certain way about this video then if you change your mind about it let me know and I'll act on it. I think it's unfortunately rarer to find parents who take the time to listen to their kids and respect what they are bringing up without tossing their words to the side. I think continuous self introspection is the biggest key to making a happy family. And consistant affirmation as well that whatever you feel about this situation is valid. 💚

I have really enjoyed watching your kids grow up. You have made an amazing family. But if the kids want their life out of the spotlight and need privacy, it’s time. They just want to grow up without a camera following them. They want to have full attention from Daddy. I hope you choose the right thing to do. Start another channel doing something else part time. We will all follow you wherever you go❤

My son did the same a few years ago with photos and me posting to IG and I didn’t understand why. I took the photos down per his request, still not understanding why. He was 11 at the time. But now I do (he’s 13 now) and it’s simply because he wanted privacy and he’s not into being posted online at all. Some people will understand your decision and some people won’t. Either way, kudos to you and your wife listening to your kids. Your family has helped me a lot through my parenting journey; I wish you guys much success in your new endeavors.

Groovy. 🎉 I'm with the kids. ❤ Smart babies. They will change their minds over and over again. That's the reality of their understanding. As a child, I want to be loved, included, liked, involved, and accepted by others. Yet, I am struggling with my own identity, wants, expectations, and needs. The problem (my opinion) is when you are an adult who is still struggling with those things. Yep!!! Thank God for their voices and the support they have with their parents. 🎉
