Peter, splendid effort on your OO Layout- you have done a great job on building the Metcalfe card kits - and your terrain is excellently done as well. A very well thought out track plan- most interesting for viewing passing trains in a delightful scenic setting. I am just starting out on my Hornby OO Layout - a long way to go yet- though, pleased to see your efforts as it is most inspiring. Cheers. KEV.

There are a few suggestions for building a railroad layout yourself Find a suitable set of plans online Find a colleague who wants to build one too so you have another person to help you (I discovered these and the reasons they work on Jareks hobby club site )

Hi There, thanks for the comments and complement regarding the layout. Yes its not looking to bad, and not really much more to do on it to be honest. Adding some coloured signal lights working on a sensor and they work well. Probably just concentrate on getting a few more items in the rolling stock area.

Hello Peter. I just found your fantastic layout on You Tube. You've done a beautiful job there! You have accomplished what few have . That is, you have found the balance between "done" and "overdone". It's great to see such a well planned layout in a realistically sized room. I get a bit discouraged when the area of the latest super layout in the hobby magazines is in two time zones! Now I need to get down in the basement and start to see what I can do.

Very beautiful. Im relatively new to Tiny Villages and have added O Scale trains. My goal has always been to make the model realistic as possible. You do an excellent job of this and I aspire to do the backdrops like you have that make the display so much grander.

+Birmingham FETA Hi There, thanks for the message. Its the Oxford Die cast range that I have used. I used VERY tiny Nano bulbs which I obtained via Kytes Lights based on The Isle of Wight. I removed the base of the fire appliance/ambulance and replaced the original blue lights (non working) with the Nano's but you have to do a little bit of drilling into the original solid blue plastic and insert the working bulbs. Then I just wired them in series to a 12v supply and a small flashing you you can obtain, again from Kytes Lights. If you take a look on his website you will see some emergency vechiles that he has done and can be bought already fitted.
